It can be done on any daw.

how you do it depends on your daw, easiest way to do it is on ableton live.

For example, load loop. open audio clip. type new bpm. hit the warp switch done.

you might have to do some manual warping depending on how far the distances of the bpm is.

for example if you're trying to warp something that is 140 to 100 you're going to have some trouble.

I've never used cakewalk, nor intend to so i couldn't tell you how to do it.

try googling "pitch shifting and time stretching" ... in sonar cakewalk.

Depends on the WAV file some are tempo embedded others are not. Of course ACIDiZed format will let u automatically change tempo in DAW.

Therefore u need to Acidize your wav file.

To properly completely acidize a wav file you need to use the full version of ACID & possibly u will need to manually adjust the slices. It does work well though.

Other methods include using Soundforge to implant pitch/tempo header etc.

Several DAWS have functions to acidize to a degree such a FL I think u can export in Acidized format & cakewalk has groove clip tools. You can even manually stretch, tempo embed and export in new format.

There also many other methods u can use to 'bumble' a working version

However the only PROPER method that I am aware of is to use ACID & encode/export in acidized format which then means time stretching functionable in any DAW etc.
