    Hi guys

I need to record a video of my sequencer while running a project.
I use Nvidia shadowplay to capture the video

But once loaded, the sequencer takes the priority on the audio
so the capture is not able to record audio.

I tried to change ASIO to WINDOWS AUDIO in the audio setup
or activate mix stereo in windows but still no sound

    any tips?
i can see on youtube ppl doing that like for tutorial.

(i chose PC as subforum coz it's not about specific software, but i guess windows or hardware matters)

Hey I'm on MAC but i know these problems.
I wanted to recommend you to use "Soundflower" but now i
    see there's no Windows version.
    Code:
    rogueamoeba.com/freebies/soundflower/
For MAC there's a good app. called Screenium
    @ www.syniumsoftware.com/screenium
    Unfortunately no PC versions available!

You need something like an audio router!
    Maybe this can help you?

    https://github.com/rdp/virtual-audio-capture-grabber-device
Or Google > "virtual audio device windows"

Does it help if you untick allow apps to take exclusive control of this device in sound options?

Have used Camtasia studio before, and it allows choosing whatever active audio device you have, if I recall correctly

@Kookaboo , thanks for the links and suggestion, will check that
@Herr Durr , didnt know we could do that, i will check,
Yes i used camtasia before, maybe i should try again

Keep u posted ( but later, 6am, time to sleep lol )

edit : Btw, I use studio one 3
When I choose audio device : WINDOWS AUDIO
in the control panel, I have the "exclusive mode" which can be off
    and it works.

but the windows audio use max 1024 samples which is few
(i need around 2000, i dont care about latency coz i don't play on keyboard)
i will check if 1024 is enough

absolutely, let us know how you resolved it, someone with the same issue in the future might find your answer right here ! :like:

I can,for example, watch youtube video tutorials while I am using my daw, and using asio. I have had the issue come up where youtube will not be heard, and I have to see if the exclusive box is ticked or not, and also making sure I have chosen the correct default device for playback. I have not tried recording a tutorial or such before, but others have achieved what
you are trying to do so there must be a correct answer somewhere !!

    cheers :guitarhero:
