What squared mic is it?

    Well it's not a very good picture.
    but my educated guess would be it's an AKG 414

    looks like it would be the ULS version as well.

    First I thought that it's a funny way to mount a mic then I realized it's a piano that is recorded :rofl:

    AKG C414 with a wind-screen (although I'm not sure why the windscreen is on when recording a grand piano inside. Is it a recording of an outside show? Then it would make more sense).

    Wow, I have found AKG C414 and wan't sure about it. How really good is AKG mic and is there any brands offer a near perfection is piano recording? I looking at a mic that can capture piano attack and nuance of every keys.

    Yes, windscreen is use on outdoor performance.

    Sure, they work well as do many. Ribbons will even capture a performance if that is your taste. I would love to get my hands on a pair of Samar VL 37s and give them a try myself. I bet they taste yummy.
