Presonus has release a VU meter plugin as add-on. You can find it in the "Presonus Shop" in the "Cloud" tab within the Browser.

The plugins is free (0.00 €) and it has a nice micro view as for other Studio One stock plugins. Enjoy.

Just login and Download Win and/or Mac version of the plugin. Double click to install it.

Boring! And why is it named a VU plugin. Not true at all. A TRUE VU meter is a mechanical device and can never reflect the true instantaneous signal peaks of complex audio signals.

 

"Double click to install it" doesn't work on Win. The file is VUMeter.win.install. Unknown type of file. What to do? Or is it for Studio One Pro 3 only?

 

Yes is for S1 v3 only. if double click doesn't work, open S1 extension pannel and select "install" to browse to the file.

Activation error

 

Plugins download should match studio one online activation.

If doesn't work for you should request it in the sister site.

 

for sure it wont activate if you don´t own Studio One v3 legit

Boring to say it mildly, actually useless. However, always good to know whats going on at Presonus.

to be fair , the way its integrated into the channel strip is super, super useful and great for proper gain staging. Based on that fact alone it makes it anything but a pointless addition. Its still super ugly when maximized though!!!
