As 4 Quicktime on win 10 don't Know jack about it apart from it seems to play about it but it plays MP3, MP4,3GPP etc no problem That's about all I know lmao as don't use that stuff

As 4 upgrade procedure & activation it sucks but does work in the end if u keep updating same old stuff, blah. Just don't like flash a clean install say on formatted HDD or u need serial. I went windows 8.1 (deleted whole load as was gonna anyway) then just win 8 straight to win 10 and activated after messing for a bit.

That's said it seems pretty cool & like it a lot so far.....

Couldn't say totally Judo, like Zeus says different ways of doing things. Of course if it came preinstalled with win 8 logical path would just b like as it genuine update 2 8.1 then use the crappy assembler thing to update to 10 after u reserved it i.e don't download the iso 2 flash delete & new install or u need win 10 serial. Did u reserve a copy? Also other ways as well but that's sort of by the by, if u have genuine 8 preinstalled just follow logical upgrade path even though it sucks. Your backup I assume on partion on HDD unless came with a disc?

U can always do a clean install once all updated I think and of course get rid of old windows files etc but b carefull with u're backup as in don't overwrite it lol if it partitioned. Hate it when the tight arses don't even give u a disc although u can make one and that

• Quicktime: The latest Quicktime 7.7.7 cannot be installed on Windows 10. The older version 7.7.6 seems to work but does not include the latest security fixes and is thus not recommended.
  This practically removes the video support for Cubase and Nuendo.

 

Quicktime is crapple, spyware/spamware.

 

i am seriously considering buying a retail version of win 7 while i still can...being an 98se and xp user i think win 7 is the closest to what i can get..and win 7 will be updated for a few more years hopefully...till then win10 will sort itself out...again hopefully

 

To authorize w10 properly when using the upgrade offer you must upgrade one existing windows first.
After that your hardware config and the authorisation for this maschine is stored on the microsoft servers.
After that you should be able to just install w10 clean without entering a serial.
Still trying to create a bootable clone so I havnet fully tried it yet....

Don't understand why folks complaining in every forums that windows 10 not working for cubase or other issues ?! I upgrade it into two machines and everything works great ! On Both computers cubase work great and fast ! No glitches ! Btw cubase 5,6,7 they all work good I test it!

 

hey everyone. I have a big problem with RUNTIME BROKER: everytime I run an APP of Windows 10, the CPU starts to go crazy, at 99% of use. EVERY SOLUTIONS found in the web, does not work. i.e.: blocking Time Broker from regedit, from services, disabling "tips on Windows 10" from Microsoft, etc. Does this problem bore you too?

Personally, I think Windows 10 has too many bugs to resolve to use it as an Audio Workstation.
