I'm looking for another mystery in Studio One:

Is there a command / feature "fixed note length" in midi (editor)? I could not find it so far.

(Would not be surprised if this also does not exist in S1.)

    1) Select notes.
    2) Right click on a note.
    3) Click "Length".
    4) Input or choose preferred length.
    5) Click "Set to All".
    6) Press OK.

All your selected notes are no length fixed.

Thanks for your answer. I figured it out.

I had hoped that very ordinary functions like Legato and Fixed Note Length might be available DIRECTLY via a key command. Detours are necessary again.

In another forum I read about the fact that while rendering audio files in S1 they were permanently deleted in special situations. A lot of 'small' things are obviously not thought to end. And this strange GUI (gray-gray-gray plus a bit of color), incl. the mixing console remains a challenge.

I do not want to offend someone, but this software is according to the current state definitely overpriced with near 400 euros (100-150 euros would be enough). Too bad, the approaches are good...

Just play with it some more and discover it's special features and you will like it eventually.
It has great audio bend quality for example. Just watch the tutorial movies on their site.
Regarding the GUI: Grey seemes to be easy on the eyes; even professional software like Adobe Premiere uses this grey color.
Cubase went from light grey to darker grey too... Like every new software you have to get used to the complete layout.
