I can tell you what i think they stopped releasing stuff I think the reason they did start releasing things is because they didn't want to help people that could not afford the software and I think they stopped one reason is because they were doing it for free and people that were uploading there stuff two sides we're trying to make money off of their links so they figure we're not making any money why is everybody else making money all off our work

R2R clearly stated why they stopped and they clearly stated that they will continue to supply if certain conditions are met.
Here is a quote from the nfo in their "R2R.Encryptor.The.Suppliers.Tools.v1.0.0 "

Û²± We are very sorry to inform you that we don't share our special ±²Û
Û²± works anymore, unless people supplies things to the groups. We have ±²Û
Û²± wanred you countless time since the beginning about the importance ±²Û
Û²± of supplying, sharing, supporting crackers. Even we saw many people ±²Û
Û²± agreeing and supporting our message, however, the fact is opposite. ±²Û
Û²± The most things are supplied from clew and their friends. We rarely ±²Û
Û²± get resources from the outside; LIFE SUCKS. ±²Û
    Û²± ±²Û
Û²± While some guys and we buy the MANY softwares (even if it is ±²Û
Û²± already released by the groups), some others don't at all. These ±²Û
Û²± guys are nothing good for neither warez scene nor developers. We ±²Û
Û²± don't think we need to feed the "true" leechers more as we have ±²Û
Û²± released enough. You don't even have money to buy the cheap ±²Û
Û²± softwares? That's OK. You already got enough from the groups. ±²Û
    Û²± ±²Û
Û²± This tool is a bitter answer from us. Now you have a chance to ±²Û
Û²± supply to the groups without searching for a way to contact. It's ±²Û
Û²± you who make the decision. You don't need to be hurried because ±²Û
Û²± there are no deadlines or quotas. No matter what happens, we don't ±²Û
Û²± stop reversing or releasing. We just keep them to internal world ±²Û
Û²± when we feel it's not fair. When we get enough, we start sharing ±²Û
    Û²± again. It's fuckin simple.

    @farao:
It sounded like a fair, reasonable, interesting and honest question to me. At least that's the way i read it. Just because you bring up the subject doesn't mean you are a "disgruntled leecher" or criticizing other people or groups...lol. However the subject, for whatever reason, does seem to draw very strong emotional responses from some it seems. I don't claim to have any inside knowledge etc. but to me it sounds like Zeus probably got close to the truth in his answer above.

I can't guess at R2R's intentions, but there is/was another cracker on AudioZ who, at times, seemed to speak for R2R. His own releases were popular, but the attitude he displayed in his comments was not. He looked down upon us mere mortals a plague of ingrates, which has been wearing thin on AudioZ members as apparent by comments. He's clearly not happy and I don't remember seeing any releases from him over the past month or two, so maybe he picked up his ball and went home also. If R2R does share his attitude, then they're not enjoying enjoying what they're doing anymore and it's either time to find another hobby, or rediscover why they began. Anyone dependent on the gratitude of masses to fulfill their own contentment is doomed to misery.

    @dadgad,

Right, we're making progress. There is no mystery why teams did what they did in the first place. And it's pretty clear why they stopped doing what they did. Why not only R2R stopped but organized most significant others stopping as well. Let's summarize it as to make the scene more fair.

Now that's a tall order. Almost up there with changing human nature. But maybe they could do it. Maybe they've got the power and leverage it takes. Certainly not if there's no better mechanism to implement the fairness they strike for, though. Because as it stands now, there is no communication to determine what's even worth supplying. Just random noise in this system.

An obviously better implementation, one that might actually work, would be to establish moderated spaces where suppliers and teams could exchange necessary information. Call them intermediary spaces.

Figuring out who should and would access such intermediary spaces does not seem in any way above or beyond the competence of Cat @ AZ. Just for example. This is how bulletin boards (BBSes) used to work even before the days of Usenet.

Of course, it's possible (likely?) that all this is merrily happening already entirely unbeknown to scene rabble. If that's the case, though? Then (1) the larger "scene" is SOL and (2) this whole "scene fairness" thing is a smoke screen to cover for it. Misdirection to provide more blanket security for a select few. A select few we might refer to as "internals". I kind'a hope that's not the case. Not that my ideals would be shattered or anything. I've seen worse most weeks.

If any given cracker, or whatever they like to be called, gets upset because they have to endure bad comments or ungrateful post (or worse), then they should never come back. There will always be stupid posts. There will always be ungrateful people. There will always be a non perfect world no matter what anyone does. That doesn't mean that there is not a core of very nice people who appreciate every share. You don't throw out the whole bunch of apples if one has a worm in it. Everyone is walking on eggshells to compensate for a few bad apples. But alas, in the end, we are at their whim.

Is it not extremely obvious that "tools" in this context refers to music software? May I kindly ask what your point is?

Ì haven't read the entire thread but the opener question seems very reasonable to me.

Lately in this forum and the brother site VIP members including admins/mods/crackers are very sensitive about software releases, specially R2R ones, since they are the main team by far.

I fully understand "requesting bitches" are a problem specially in the wrong places and other issues. But we have come to a point where a simple software request in the right section makes people angry. Or just this thread, I mean the opener question, not the mess of the rest of the thread.

The reasons of this bad atmosphere are beyond my knowledge. R2R team itself confirmed part of these "problems" regarding requesters. Something is happening but the average users of this site we don't know what because we don't know how the scene works.

NSA agents are trying to sabotage these domains :bash:

    - whenever You see someone acting like an idiot, being unpolite, behaving like a moron... just treat him like he were from the NSA, and the problem is solved
