Hey everybody...Good Day To You All...

Any of you Into,Play, Record, Produce Electro Metal/Trans Metal Music?

The reason I ask, I've been a traditional Hard Rock/Metal guy but
digging some of this Electro/Trans Metal stuff and I was looking for some
tips on how to Produce this sound..

With that said..I play Guitar but like to start producing Electro/Trans Metal Music..

I was wondering for the background of Electro/Trans Metal, what VSTi Instruments and Grove VSTi would you all recommend to get this sound ?..

I hope that I cleared this up for you on what VSTi that I'm looking for..

    Something Like This..

    Hi !

I prefer the term of Industrial/Rock or Metal... x)

There's a lot of things but they're quite hard no find because everybody only talks about electro/dubstep and dance ! lol

Take a look at Puremagnetik, Twited Tools samples, Ohm Force plug-ins, Spectrasonics Trilian and Omnisphere, all Native Instruments : Reaktor, Maschine, Absynth, FM8 etc... G-Force softwares, Waveshappers, Ian Boddy sounds, Hollow Sun, Arturia synths, Goldbaby samples, AnalogFactory etc... I think that's a good start !

I think Nine Inch Nails did some Quake soundtrack ?

    Keep me informed ;)

Thx Man and everyone else for the tips..

Yea you mention Nine Inch Nails... Holy Sh#t man you must of read my mind... I was going to post this to my Introduction thread... Immigrant Song" -- Karen O with Trent Reznor
from the Movie The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.

Wow I take it you know what I'm looking for..

I started to get into what you call it.. Industrial/Rock before Trents Version Of Immigrant Song.. Though I been a Zep Head all my life.. I just like this new age carnation the of taking Classic Rock/Hard Rock metal to this Electro Industrial/Rock with an harder Edge...i.e. Trent Reznor version of Immigrant..

Thx Man I will look into those VST and pull out more of Trent and the Nine Inch Nails..

Any thing you want to add!.. and whats your take on Trents... Version of Zeps Immigrant Song..

    Thx All...

Well yes, my point is that's a kind of music you can use any sound/instrument to do everything ! I mean you can use a synth sound as drum, or samples, analog sounds and any hit or whatever...

And with the same idea you can use whatever sound you want, with distortion maybe, to use as a guitar line (I'm guitarist though)
Even more true with basses... A real electric bass is great, a synth can be as well.

Regarding acoustic drums, I prefer Steven Slate Drums by far ! But that's only personnal. Check The Tommy Lee Kit snare ! My favorite ever ! stevenslatedrums.com/

So I'm only telling you, mrrnr, some brand/gear I use, and then you will see how you want to use them ! Of course if you want more infos, don't hesitate, I'll be happy to help you :)

I'm a big fan of 60/70's music too lol It's almost the only thing I listen to *yes* The Who, Bowie, Donovan, of course Led Zeppelin and many more... (The Wizards From Kansas is an unknown band form this era, but they did great great things too)
Except few modern bands like NIN of course, Tool, Perfect Circle, Sonoio or Justice, and some Yeah Yeah Yeahs stuff too... And few others...

Yeah this is a cool tune ! I'm very surprised to see Trent Reznor and Karen O ! lol
