basically its the program only , without Instrument Collection , Drum Replacer and so on


but you can try without time limitation , and without export and save Projects

 

I used Cakewalk for almost 20 yrs....Then switched to PT and a mac 3 yrs ago....I
wish Cake would start making Sonar for MAC...I'd switch back in a heartbeat....

 

I just recently paid to upgrade my sonar to platinum. it might just be me but I think sound quality has improved, I haven't run a project in x3 vs platinum yet to compare. the install process was easier this time, which is a big compliment. I struggled with x3 for a long time. some user-interface features are easier to wrap my head around too

 

Man, I've been looking at Sonar more and more since the announcement for their latest offering. I'll definitely download it (I can do without the extras).
I'm a hardcore Ableton Live user but I've looking for a steady Option B (either Sonar, Cubase or Logic). Well, Sonar, LET'S GO for a ride!!!

That's Cakewalk Command Center, not SONAR.

 

Ooops, you are right, I stand corrected!

 

Downloaded the Platinum trial (about 330MB). You cannot save and it does not include the VSTi's and many of the FX. I currently have Sonar X3 and I must say, at this early stage, I don't see a BIG difference.
