    Hey all,

I wanted to know if anyone could tell me how to get this sound?

    http://soundcloud.com/emberisland/whereareunow

It sounds like a vocal with compression, EQ, Reverb and possibly a vocoder in the lower end of the mix? What do you guys think?

To me it sounds like it's Autotuned but used correctly and not for that T-Pain Effect.
Also like Tidus said, there's probably a high pass filter on it as well.

    Peace

Sounds like Vocoder tucked underneath on a send.

Could it be a dry vocal layered with a vocoder?

Like the others, it's autotune i would say.

I think that you can easily make this effect by sending your dry vocal to a return track with an autotune on it. :grooves:

It's not autotune, but a synth+vocoder (mixed with the original vocals).

There is autotune on the vocals I can hear the fake vibrato that auto tune does. Also theres a vocoder :)

+1 more for vocoder layered/mixed with dry vocals.

maybe autotuned for good measure but I wouldn't bother if you have good vocals to start with.

It's waves morphoder + doubler (or any other stereo widener). Actually it could be any vocoder, but i'm pretty sure that this one is morphoder. Soft and nice timbre. No synth needed. You creating midi part "in key" of song and routing it to the vocoder. You're done. Not bad but Imogen Heap_-_ Hide & Seek is still the best example of this trick.
