    Impactsoundworks just released the most realistic guitar I ever heard It's called Django and it's made with gypsy jazz in mind, however it worked as a solo guitar on anything I've tried so far. Search on youtube and soundcloud, there are already some great demos.

    This is not a VST, but I feel it's worth its salt: Band In A Box Real Tracks. It is limited in tweakability, but you have so many variations that most likely you'll make it work for foundation. Anyway, if you are not a professional guitar player, then you are limited by your own playability, so BIAB is worth it anyhow.
