Using presets for mastering is as useful as not mastering at all.

For Me Each song require specific settings (mastering)

Perfect Mastering Depend on The Genre of the song (Rock or Pop Or Hip Hop) Each Genre Is different From Mixing to Mastering

even with Greg Calbi Presets I Will End UP Changing Things To fit The song

by the way Thanks Thantrax for the iNFO

  5. People also do not try to cross a busy street the same way every single time. There is always a changing pattern of traffic. One time the #2 buss stops to pick up passengers, another the same said buss rolls right on through by lack of need. Someone might just get hurt out there if walking blindly, eyes shut against the varying flow of traffic. Thankfully mastering a song isn't deadly, or is it?

Mastering can never be done by presets.
But presets can be real helpful for reference when you are out of ideas or done too much tinkering etc. etc..

    That's Right

you can use presets to make Pre-Mastering only,
The final mastering i made it with hardware in the studio : I use SSL Matrix + other hardware for that purpose

I'm not a native english speaker, but, I think the guy in the video (Mr. Calbi) said several times "these are starting points" or something like that, so... If I have the chance to try those starting points I will have the chance to say something about it. I mean, something about those starting points and if I find them useful.
    Anyway, thank you, Thantrax.

that by the way works very good in izotope 5, my module presets are perfected for workflow enhancement
wich I can suggest for everybody to use in the long-run because the most importing stuff is done in the first minute and a half.

after that I'll just be over-fixating and making it 'worse'so that after a break I can start all over bypassing/ a/b -ing and all kinds of sheit

Sometimes presets are just rough starting points for tweaking from there. Thanks for the post.

    Yup,

Izotope 5 without presets would not be half as popular.

Ofcourse you can tweak the presets, but like said above it seems like some are better at finding great presets than others.

In other words, when it sounds great it sounds great regardless of anyones attitude
