Hey guys, I was wondering what some of you guys use for cleaning your gear and synths? I use windex or window cleaner that I first spray onto a soft cloth but its very time consuming. Also someone said rubbing alcohol works OK? Anyways, I just always wondered what everyone uses but always forget to put up the thread.

Soft cloth with NEUTRAL detergent always!
Never álcohol, did you the classes about pH ?
Its time donfusing because you never dismantle a 40 year synth
Use a cover, but I think thats for the lazy ones *yes*

 

Bathing soap and lukewarm water with a soft cloth glove. Only a little soap and light damping of the cloth. Primarily, I use covers, wash my hands before use, and do a 1 minute quick dusting/wipe down every 4-5 months. Gear still looks brand new.

 

Dirt makes them sound better

 

I use 5% Acohol with 95% RO water; light damped tshirt, and after 20 Years the keyboard looks like brand new.

...sadly it only looks brand new

 

I use swiffer duster and lysol disinfecting wipes, and then use a cover. Only have to clean about once a month after that. Works great for me..

install new one.

 

only air! no alcohol no water! just turn the faders up and down 100x, like u have adhd. blow air in with a air canister on 1 end and suck it out at the other end. repeat 5 X
didn't help? dismantle it further clean it carefully, again only with air!

using anything other then air is risky, and should be your last resort. if air isn't sufficient in your hands, you should contact somebody who is experienced with this stuff....

don't follow advise from peeps who cleaned their Behring mixer and got lucky, you don't want to break 14 out of 40 faders. most of the time it can be hard to find replacement parts, if not impossible...

You only replace behringer gear as a whole. With something not from behringer.

What I did once to clean the knobs of my mixer was to strip them from the mixer, put them in a laundry bag and off they went into the dishwasher. They came out like new but I suppose it didn't help with longevity...

 

Rip! out the guts of it.. leave to soak overnight in warm soapy tub,bath,or basin scrub spotless!.. reassemble! done!
