    this is exactly the kind of library that i thought sample logic's "cinematic guitars" would be. really would love to be able to play with this for a while.

    Maybe a beautiful Kontakt soundbank, but really 400 dollars for guitar bank? (more exactly 399.95 bcoz' people are stupid and think it's 300, not 400 - I hate this politic). The world is crazy! :dunno: sorry I'm set to "Rebel mode" since couple of days... :rofl:

    problem is the licensing for kontakt stuff, when you want kontakt player support the NI offers as smallest package with a price of 5000€ and this can go up the more security things you want into it.

    thats why the prices are so high for those libraries. :(

    Professionals musicians/producers buy the full version of Kontakt (or got it for free because they're doing the promotion of the product), and say f**k to the Kontakt Player. It's ridiculous ! Why Vir2 doesn't have version without this crap on the catalog ? Another question : what's the Vir2 reputation about their K soundbanks ? my answer is far (UA) compared to Spitfire or SonicCouture.

    At the same price (399 euros) you can buy... Omnisphere 2, and it's not comparable !

    Finally I hate N.I. sale policies ! example : Maschine Studio costs USD 999 (price on NI North American website) and... 999 euros on NI European website : 1 USD = 1 EUR, is it serious?

    because that way the market is bigger and easier to get people to buy it, so you invest in it before and then you get for example 50(f. e) extra buys, which makes money to cover the license for Kontakt player. its an investment you have to do before even knowing that your library you have developed will sell in the end. not to mention you have to pay an artwork designer, a kontakt scripter and also the guys who play the instruments, the recording engineers, to be honest - the price is still considered in a good level.

    why should they make a cheaper version, nobody would buy the player version anyway and the investment would be lost.

    i pretty much like their product, but i dont like using Kontakt, most of the time i dont like how you can adjust the release or the sustain on instruments and with every new version it gets harder to get used to the new instruments.

    thats common that US prices are cheaper, because US guys think they have a right to have everything cheaper as european people. urs said that too, thats why Zebra is cheaper in US as in €. (dont know i dont like the US people for such reasons)

    well Omnisphere 2 is fairly limited in terms of Guitars, and for those big hollywood studios its maybe good to get such a library (well they do not care about kontakt player anyway).

    well they all have to see how to survive in this hard audio market, not to mention piracy still has a big impact, even if people dont see it like that.

    I agree with you about many points, ArticStorm. Sincerely, I don't need this product. I'm trying to play music (because I remain 'noob') it's a simple hobby for me, only at home (no published project), mainly playing (keyboard) live only when I'm alone (surely I'm too timid, despite my 51 years old). I'm unemployed since many months (computer & network technician), so it's nearly impossible for me (and many people here, I suppose) to buy products like Vir2 Apollo, Omnisphere 2, Nexus, Waves and so on. Sometimes I can buy cheap products such VLINN 2.0 (25 euros), great for me to play "Axel F" theme, MemoryMoon's ME80v2 (40 euros) or REAPER (60 euros) - Cockos is fair about prices/licensing, Cantabile Solo 2 (45 euros)...
