I just found out that Vocalign Project 3.1 VST3 works with the new openssh method.
Tested in Cubase 8, OSX 10.10.2

I don't think it's the case with openshh since he released Pro Tools a while ago and seems to be running fine for folks. However, that scheme does sound eerily close to what I think ilok would come up..

 

dont mean to sound uneducated have a few openssh releases but what exactly do you mean by the openssh method?

I finally got around my problem with replacing the dylib file
I had to install another OS 10.6.8 on another drive and then got a tool called Tinkertool that made me see all hidden files and when i boot up on S.L i could easely replace the dylib on the Mac HD drive that wasnt possible when i only had one OS installed..

 

Has anyone managed to get this to work with the standalone version of VocAlign Project? I use Reason and thus can't use AU or VST. I've tried the usual tricks but keep getting an iLok active splash. Does anyone know if there is a way to make the old standalone version of VocAlign Project use the openssh method?

 

is there a version for 10.10.5 ? or only 10.10.2 ?

Anyone got any of the standalone versions to work? I don't understand why the plugins work but the standalone apps do not. Surely Synchro Arts wouldn't use different versions of iLok to protect the same version of their product whether it is standalone or VST3/AU/RTAS?

I can't work out what's going on! Anyone had any joy?

I have the plug in ( it's loads then asks for the stand alone) working but the stand alone needs to work as well since they work in concert with one another as you know.
Do you have the stand alone working with the plug in? What platform? I'm mac, pro tools 10hd, logic x pro.

Got it Developer... did that, 2.6.1 is the oldest version post on the dev.

 

From the iLok protection screens that come up when you start the apps, it looks like they have some custom protection compared to the plugins. They definitely still use the standard iLok helper though as they won't start at all without that installed.

It's a real shame the older VocAlign Project.app doesn't just work without needing anything else doing... unless there's a way of circumventing whatever additional iLok protection it calls first before it gets to the main bulk of the application?
