Hi everybody,
i am new with mac and i need some advice about what Ableton version i can run on my iMac G5? I have 2.1 ghz and 2.5 gb RAM. I am working with few VST, also use some virtual intruments from Ableton (mostly just 1 or 2) and run drums with samples from my library with sampler or drum maschine. And some delay and reverb effects as well.
Can i run 8th or i need something older? I prefer running smoothly...

You should be ok with version 6, I think, have a go and test it.
what year was your imac made? I think it was made between 2004 and 2005, right?
In that period I was running ableton live v.5 then I moved to v.6
Forgive my english, I hope I made myself clear.
Anyway the best is to try and see how your computer react to the software.

Ok, i tried demo of 8 Live, and it worked fine. But it was only demo mode, so i dont know about full version, but probably it could be the same. I didnt find working crack file. Also i tried to download version 6, but it didnt work - i couldnt find version for my type of iMac.
So it seems i have to change my DAW....damn, i love ableton!
