I write two types of song: throat-slashing protest songs and sentimental ditties. Now I need your help to replace the (boring) word LOVE in the following verse.

"Love is like a song. And if we all sing along.
Then we will live in peace and we will fill this world with harmony."

The word LOVE is too mushy. Maybe the word BEER would be better? Or the word GOOGLE? Or SEX?

Honestly, I need your help. The only other idea I have is this:

"Weed is like a song. And if we all sing along.
Then we will live in peace and we will fill this world with harmony by
Singing all around the world. We will be singing all around the world.
And if there's trouble, we'll come through it. I believe someday we'll do it.
We'll be singing all around the world."

I'm begging YOU for one good word. Please help.

Or for commercial purposes: "Junk Food (name your poison)" is like a song.

Hey man, I'd like to hear this one one day when it's done.

I write lyrics for myself and others all the time and one thing I've learnt is that if the word is right, the word is right. Now, with that being said, I usually don't use the word love. My advice would be to use a word that keeps the meaning of the original sentence so, for example, to change it for something that means the same or resembles the feeling of the word "love". For example: hope, lust, heart, home or even "we are like a song..."

Anyway, you caught me first thing in the morning... and I need coffee! Maybe after coffee I'll get a better idea. I do like "we are like a song, and if we all sing along"; it flows well.

But right now I feel more like "COFFEE is like a song, stop typing and get your damn COFFEE!"

I only published the introductory verse: the song is finished and has four verses. The music is big -- symphonic choir (C major, A minor), but I tend to write sheet music more than produce.

For a long time now I have followed your comments here and on the dark side, and I have learned plenty from you.

and true, which gives it especial appeal. Thanks a lot.
