    Hello,
I am looking for some nice sounding, looped, true-legato and SOFT solo cello library with at least 3 layers (p, mf, f), 2xRoundRobin and controllable vibrato and attack. Something like LASS Cello FC, but also vibrato-controllable. LASS sounds amazing, but their cello cannot be used if it's playing more than 60 seconds

Dan Dean's Cello sounds nice, but it has only one velocity layer and it's not looped
Gofriller Cello sounds awful to me (zero attack/release times, lot of noise in piano velocity), even if there are a lot of people who like its sound.
Cosmo D Solo Cello library sounds great, but it's not looped and doesn't offer vibrato control

I actually don't need much of these requirements. I just need soft sounding solo cello with piano to mezzopiano velocity.

    Thanks for any advice

The new upcoming LASS 2.0 update will offer controllable vibrato.

Tell me about it... I'm still waiting for the Legato Sordinos to pop up. :(

I don't know about VSL but I know the Spitfire Solo Strings offer controllable vibrato but, alas, it's no where to be found. :dunno:

Oh, and there's also a free Kontakt script called 'SIPS' that allows you to add controllable vibrato, legato, and portamento to any non-vibrato instrument patch.

Here's the link for the free download:

    http://www.nilsliberg.se/ksp/scripts/sips/sips.htm

The manual is cumbersome as hell but here is a similar tutorial to what you are trying to achieve:

    http://www.piotrmusial.com/tutorials/tut6.html

Just follow what he is doing but instead of trying to add the portamento script just add the vibrato.

    Good Luck

Unfortunately only for ensemble patches. The FC Solo Cello will be again vibrato-only:
