Hi guys, i just got the Kontak library Rise and Hit wich is very cool and twekable. i have tried it and like it, now the problem is that i usually use tune fXs for my transitions. So the question is: Can i tune the riser/downfilters inside Rise and Hit? I use a lot Musicloops inside Studio One and what i do is store the fx and the key and when i need it i can recall them and change the key to the root key of the project i'm working on.
When pressing C or E the riser sound just the same without changing pitch. Someone knows if it possibile to tune it?? thanks


EDIT: i found i tune knob inside the riser info. Is it possible to automatically repitch it when playing different notes?? like assing the root key and then play the riser in different notes??

 

Yes u can!

EDIT:I'm not sure... but you can add automations, (on your midi controller knob or programin them into your DAW)

 

thanks i find the knob as in your screenshot, Let's say now that i have tuned the riser and the downfilter to C and i'm happy with it. When i play it with my keyboard to a different notes (let's say D) the whole riser is still in C. There is a way that Kontakt will repitch the riser when playing different notes?? (isn't Kontakt a sampler able to do it?)

i have also Liftor and Whoosh Maschine wich are capable of play the risers/downfilters in different notes. Can Rise and Hit library do it??

 

yes, kontakt is able to do that... I understand what you want, but I dont know how to do that! sry :dancing: (I'm not expert in this, I only read maunals for instruments/librarys)

Great library it's a shame that isn't possible to re-pitch while changing note. It will be difficult for me to use this, since i use my time mainly for synths and layering.

 

Probably most of them rises and hits are C, but it's better to check with melodyne. If some presets sounds very dense, switch the algo to Poly. Remember, use Melodyne just for analysis purposes, nothing more.

Option 2: you can use Fabfilter Pro-Q2 with the bellow keyboard activated and check the spectrum analizer where's the most prominent peaks, create a bell (for analysis purposes as well) and move it around and see which note pops up in certain areas, so you know how much semitons you should go up or down in Kontakt.

EDIT: In the end it doesn't have to be purely perfect. For example, take in consideration how fat a supersaw sounds when you detune it.
Imperfections are good, to a degree.

Thanks Evorax for the tip. i'll probably take 1-2 days in the future just to scan the entire library, save the best risers and maybe label them

 

Try using The Mapping Editor drag the box to the start and end of the keyboard in kontakt
then press tracking its just under mapping should play in key then.
i think there is only a one to three zones set as defalt i see three on the preset im looking at,
