So Idk if any of you have also downloaded the FabFilter Total Bundle from Team R2R, but I have.
Ive used the KeyGen to generate some serials, and I'm successively able to get them. It ask to "Please close down the host that is running the plug in and restart it"...
I restart Ableton, then open For example the Pro Q2 but it again it tell me, my 30 Day Trial has expired and to please purchase or enter a working serial.
Anyone have a solution for this or found a work around this? Appreciate it.

 

always be offline when you open any of your daws and block all incoming and outgoing connections in your firewall to your daws and plugins and also use little snitch or hands off for extra blocking

 

Block your DAW with a firewall. Same rule applys for any cracked software you are using.

If you are using a Mac then i recommend you use Hands off! as it tells you when something is trying to connect to the internet and you can chose to block it or allow it. A alternative is Little Snitch which basically works the same but i found Hands Off! abit more easier.

If you are using Windows then you could give Comodo Firewall ago although my experience with it in the past has not been the best but it may be better now since i haven't used it for a long time. I personally use Kasperskys firewall on my Windows computer to block all the stuff i don't want to call home but i think you need the whole anti virus for that. Alternatives would be ZoneAlarm witch i herd is good or just simply using you Windows firewall to block all outgoing connections witch is real easy (Google it for more information) but the negative of that is you have to remember to block the stuff you don't want to connect as it wont tell you when software is trying to connect when Comodo will.

 

as above, a lot of plugins automatically call home if you DAW as access to the web (the call home routine is embedded in the actual plugin), checks if it is officially registered, if not they either stop working or revert back to demo, simply block your DAWs internet connection, if plugins then stop or go back to demo when you have blocked your DAW, then it's a good guess to assume they may have time bombed

 

well... I don't think its calling home...
fab channel is available for some time and I didn't hear anybody complain before? are u using mac?

 

That's right, I'm using it and have no problems at all.

Yes I am on a Mac..I just dont get why its not taking in the serial that I generate.

 

SO I tried again. Turned off Wi-Fi and running Hands Off in the background, But still no luck. Could I not be getting the serials properly?

 

You need to apply the patch from the keygen as well as generate a serial.

You know where it says "Patch Plugin Folder" have you done that? I think i did that to get it to work on Yosemite 10.10.2

Also you can use hands off alot more easier.

When it ask you to write files click in "Always" instead of "Until quit" and you can iva do the files 1 by 1 like you are doing or click "All write operations" so it wont hassle you every time you open it. When it ask to connect to ableton live service click "deny" and "always" so it wont ask again.

P.s i leave the file writing option that you changed at 0.18 to allow as the only thing you need to be concerned about is the network one witch i use on Ask. Also you dont need to open up handoff for it to work, it works in the backround.

I'm not getting anywhere with this, I am still having the same problem. Something I forgot to mention was, The package from Team R2R didnt include a dmg for the plug ins...So I downloaded the .dmg from the FabFilter site. Could that be whats causing the problem? Someone please help, Ive been at this for the past 3 days......Anyone? Some people mentioned Patching the plug ins or the plug-in folder, but idk what they mean by that?

 

Click Patch Plugin Folder and Navigate to the folder where your fabfilter plugins are and select that. Let me know if that works.

That may be your problem. If it didn't come with a dmg then what did it come with?

Now as far as the Path Folder, the folder with the .VST, or....?

 

you have to patch the vsts, locate where the plugins folder has been installed and PATCH THAT FOLDER (this will patch all the plugins at once)

did you not read the install instructions?

 

But I did tho....It didnt say anything about Patching Folders. So it doesnt matter that I got the dmg from FabFilter.com?

I installed the plug ins, and they are in the VST folder in Audio. Along with all my other VSTs....

Have you never installed plug-ins without a dmg before?

All you have to do is:

Copy the files from the component folder to:

Macintosh HD/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components

The vsts to:

Macintosh HD/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST

and so on...

This applys for all plug-ins you install and is the default location, witch my guess is where the folder you need to patch is. (not unless you use a custom folder)
