Something that can run Ableton 9 is old and outdated?

There are many pro's out there who are running 10.6.8 "because" of its rock stability and please by all means do search and you will see that as a fact.

Not trying to start any BS or wars here just stating the truth.

BTW, my experience with 10.6.8 is that it very rarely experiences crashes. Do they happen? Yes, of course, but this is true of any OS on any machine. FYI, I run a couple of Macs with multiple OS'es due to having to support them. From the older PPC OS X 10.3 (Panther) through to Intel 10.10 (Mavericks) and Windows versions from XP to 8.1. Jeez, I even have a couple of customers who are still running OS 9.2.2 due to applications they require that have not been updated.

Do I need both? I'm not going to use this comp for online use. Strictly 'outdated' music creation *yes* .

Burn a DVD and boot with options held down?
