I've been thinking (gassing) of picking one of these up lately. It would look nice sitting between the Microbrute and the Microkorg.

I was wondering if anyone has managed to load the R2R plug-outs into the hardware.

I had one, ended up hating it because of the constant annoying, blinking lights. Its like a discoteque all day, every day.
Looks cool in the shop, but at home it sucks. Personally, I didnt like it for bass, it didnt sit right in the mix, for me.
(Only talking about Sys-1 and Sh-101 plug-out). Also, Ive had a real Sh-101 before and the plug-out doesnt sound like the real thing, only similar.

I never tried to use a cracked plug-out, only used it along side with cracked sh-2 in the daw.

My tip: Get another real analog synth.

I was basically thinking about it because there is a used one around here that could be had fairly cheap. I do have other (older) analog: a blue SH-101, a Sequential Prophet 610 (Six-Trak) that I've mapped all parameters to a Behringer BCR-2000 and a Korg EX-800 (Poly 800 module). I was impressed with the sound of the SH-2 - at least when going thru outboard effects modules. On a par with what Arturia did with the Oberheim SEM.

I tend to acquire my gear used as I can usually get at least twice the bang for the buck. Just curious as to whether these R2R releases would actually load into the synth.

    Yo guys...

I have the AIRA's series except the vocoder......

Gurujon, talking about the annoying light,i totally agree with you but you can switch them off if you want...i know it is faisable on the TR8,it should be avail also on the sys 1....
The sound by itself,i cannot discuss about it,i don't have other synths, except the Virus Ti,but no SH 101,102...so for me,it sounds really ok...

Now,to answer your question Mr Clem,[sub]yes, the R2R works like a charm onto the system 1[/sub],it is really great...again,for me,those sounds are perfect for me and the way the syst 1 manage the plug out is excellent,no doubt at all for me....

    cheers mate

i own a system 1 and the plug outs . honestly i don't use the keyboard ever and the system 1 part is pretty shitty . you can buy the plug outs alone i think except for the sh101 but r2r did that. i didn't buy the drum machine after the system1 the modular looks good . i never use the keyboard hardly ever .

the micro brute is way better than the minibrute because of the editor , between that and system 1 i would say do micro brute and buy the system1 plug outs separate or get the system 1 modular rack thing that came out in Frankfurt.

@ nycdl/ I merged your two posts into one.

Just seen the System-1M, much more interesting than the keyboard version, if you're into eurorack.
