I started to update some Vst's but for some of them I incountered a strange issue: never happened before :snuffy: . Wrong gui resolution, some plugins interfaces inside daw show incomplete.
This happened for PSP audioware triplemeter 3.0.3, while previous version 3.0.2 worked correctly, even if in a very small size, but as per all PSP plugs (my main monitor res being 1920x1200).
I thought it was a sw specific issue, they said they have improved plugin graphics from previous version, so that my video card (a not so young ati hd2600xt) and its driver could be not compliant, even if updated.
I started to have some more doubts when I encountered the same issue with reFuse software lowender.
Inside my daw window the plug interface, as before, appears only for three quarter of its (supposed) total dimension, more or less.
I recently add a dual monitor config, with a secundary video having a resolution lower than the main one, and I'm now thinking that this could cause the issue :dunno:
But the problem remains dragging the vst interface between the two videos.
Monitors are plugged to PC with a RGB cable, waiting for a couple of DVI.
I'm working on win ultimate 64, my daw is studio one 2.6.4.
Anyone having same problem? Any suggestion?
    Thanks a lot in advance.

    @ Pereira,

As 'Video' is not my main field of knowledge  ... could your trouble be related to some 'Open GL' issues, as it was the case with some 'Waves' Plugins in the past (if I well remember !).

    For Info :

'Open GL' (The Industry's Foundation for High Performance Graphics)

Maybe here you get the point (?)

A 'Video Card' not enough performant (powerful) to support new Version(s) of a particular Plugin.
Maybe the 'Video Card' Drivers should also be updated (if available !).

Video card drivers are updated, unfortunatly. I think you are right, it can be an open GL related issue, my card drivers stop at 2.0 release, the newest ones reach 4.5, if i'm not wrong ; what makes me angry is what the hell is the matter that pushes a softwarist to use the most recent open GL drivers. We are speaking about vst plugins, not videogames. Why the 99% of plugins work absolutely fine with my card, including the most famous ones, and not a stupid PSP audioware triplemeter? :snuffy:

Hello, I ran into the exact problem as pereira has, where Refuse Lowender doesn't show the whole GUI when opening the VST. This thread was the only info I could find on it when doing research so I registered to audiosex.pro so I can reply I'm having the same issue. I can't even register my vst, since the activation button is on the bottom and it won't show up on the screen.

I've provided some screenshots of what I'm seeing as well as hit up Refuse to see if they can help in anyway.

    Screenshot 1

    Screenshot 2

Any help is greatly appreciated. This is the only time that I've ran into this issue. I was trying to install the x64 VST, but I have tried to use the 32bit version with the same results (through Jbridge)

Update: I think there's a ****ing bug in those plugs, no openGl or other card related issues.
I tried them on a different PC, new video card geforce type, new open GL drivers, different DAW (adobe audition), same resolution and

    SAME ISSUE. :(

Even if this seems weird, they probably didn't test them at 1920x1200 resolution......an alternative can be that I'm hitted by an Aztec curse

But if this is true, it gives an idea of psp and refuse sw capability..... :dunno:

I'm having the exact same issue you are with refuse lowender. I've tried different video resolutions and my video card drivers are up to date, but i've never experienced this issue before with any other VST. I really think this must be a bug with Lowender. I seen they've just updated the 1.3 version we are using on march 15 last month so it's fairly new update.

Update: it is indeed a bug, and it is fixed but hasn't been released yet on the website. (Solved)

As for the PSP audioware triplemeter 3.0.3, I've never used or tried it so I can't help you there. At least the problem has been resolved for one of the VST's. If I have some time I'll check out a demo for PSP audioware triplemeter 3.0.3 and see if I have the same issue as you do.

All what I can do for both of you at this moment, it's to simply provide you a snapshot of my Version of 'reFuse Lowender'...

At a first glance, its size is the regular one... *yes* and it doesn't miss any knobs, sliders, settings,... *no*

    It's the 'last-in-date' '64bit' Version loaded within 'Reaper 5 Beta' ('64bit') and running under 'Windows 8.1' ('64bit').

My Graphic Card is an 'Intel(R) HD Graphics 4400' ('2GB' Memory), and as I recently acquired my new System, I don't think that I need an eventual Update for this one till now...

    For Info :

"In comparison to the HD 4000, the HD 4400 graphics core has been modified extensively. The GPU now supports DirectX 11.1, OpenCL 1.2 and OpenGL 4.0."

Thanks a lot for the infos, Studio 555  , I tested the plug on a 2 year old geforce Gigabyte GV-N660OC-2GD NVIDIA GTX 660, it supports OpenGL 4.3 and directx 11, but, as I told before, no way to have a correct plugin graphic.
Tested on studio One and Adobe Audition.....
In any case, tell me if a vst plugins developer needs all that specifications compatibility to design such a poor graphic interface :dunno:

I think I found the problem: uncorrect dpiscaling: my WIN 7 is setted to a res of 1920x1200, so, to be readable, text is dpiscaled to the medium value (125%) (screen options).

    Triplemeter desn't work :snuffy:

If i set it to standard dpi value (100%),

    Triplemeter works :dunno:

The problem is: how to tell to it to ignore the dpiscaling?
