Hey all,

Just got a new Windows 8 box. Installed Kontakt 5.43 (r2r) and all was good. I added all my libs via the Library tab (LASS, EW, etc) Then I tried to load an old Vienna Ensemble project and was told I was missing Kontakt 4. Soooooo, I went ahead and installed the old Dynamics kontakt 4. When I loaded my Kontakt multi all the LASS were fine, but the EW were all in Demo mode. I then tried to uninstall k4 but now the EW libs all show up as Demo Timeouts. What's also odd is that when I add them to the Library tab in the standalone Kontakt app, they show up. However when the vst loads, Kontakt somehow forgets that I registered the lib.

Have you actually registered it in the new installation or did you just add it?

(And make sure to clean the registry when the Kontakt installer asks you)

 

Thanks. Will try that tonight. I had just put the library on the drive and 'added' it, I'll register the drive now.
