I have a issue that I want to study and maybe someone here can help me...
It's called the flanger effect , it's common on guitar and vocals....
Someone know a good vst or analog hardware that can do it well?
I have the flanger effcet that comes with cubase but I don't find him so good....

Well.. There's more than just flanging going on... In the first example, I'd say Waves Metaflanger or MondoMod would be great for creating that swirly stereo flange effect. Your second one at 1:32 doesn't really sound like there's any flanging going on at all. Sounds more like some mild chorus in the synth...

PS/ phasers, flangers & chorus are all really the same effect just to different degrees. Cheers!!!

 

I can hear a Vocoder, down-pitching and low-pass filtering here, but no flanger.
Maybe you'd better try these?

There is absolutely no vocoder going on on the 2nd track at 1:32..

 

You should use more reverb and more layers imo

 

The synth is quite heavily compressed (compressor/limiter) but no other processing than that.
The vocal part sounds like "auto-tuned" (pitch-quantized vocal pitch correction) and processed through a bitcrusher/decimator effect.

 

1) First one is a vocoder and some ducking/SC compression.

2) Supersaws and some noise oscillator. Add some reverb. Layer with a clean bass.

 

A flanger effect is a modulated comb filter with high feedback and short delay.

 

I add a layer with low pass and Vocoder can you take a listen?
I used the fl studio Vocoder but it's very crazy to output wav, edit it on fl stduio and again output wav and input to cubase..
I know that there are IL Vocoder vst but if full of bugs and not work at the cubase...
Did you know other Vocoder vst that make it well?

cat, hurry up and open the audio sex academy. To the original poster, theres a bunch of ways you could go about making something that sounds like that talk box sound they are doing here. Vocoders and the like for me I would try getting a sampler and loading several different vowels that play according to different velocities then putting a randomizer to the tracks midi velocity and plug in your melody. Stack with a synth and then bit crush em together. Good luck homie.

 

Whilst similar & all time dependent they are NOT really the same effect

Phasers split the signal of your instrument into two exact copies. The phase of one copy is shifted, to the desired degree & the resulting signals are then recombined producing a phase shift.

With a Flanger the signal is split into two copies, then one of them is delayed in time slightly & can be varied to the desired degree. Normally the delay time also changes at a constant rate. Flangers generally create a much greater harmonic reaction than a simple phase shift.

The signals are then recombined.

Chorus type Effects are quite different all together in that it creates two identical copies of the signal rather than splitting the signal. In general the delay also can be manipulated to a much higher degree.

This leads to much more freedom in the manipulation of the stero field etc

 

a flanger is a modulated short delay added to the original signal (this is also the same for a basic chorus too just the modulation speed is different and the delay tends to be larger ie over 6ms as the brain precives it as two separate signals. the modulation provides a pitch difference.)
the short delay added to the original signal produces a comb filter effect
if you want to do through zero flanging you get you plugin to announce to the host that there is a delay in the plugin,
then the host sends the audio data ahead of time(plugin delay compensation).

phasers are done using allpass filters that allow all frequency's through but shift the phase angle.

in very laymen terms they are all done with delays in the digital world as filters are done with networks of single sample delays.
