Stutter Bass

    This isn't really a question about making a certain sound persay, but I am interested in learning how to get this effect on bass noises.

    It's used a lot in multiple genres.

    a few ways to skin the cat on this one.
    U can use a gate, auto pan, side-chain vocoder, draw in automation.
    Whatever you do use it sounds like it's retriggering the synth rather than just cutting out parts of the signal.
    personally i use Xfer records LFO tool. It has heaps of options and flexibility

    example1) It's just re-trigger and ramp up velocity (since the initial transient is on every retrigger, but different velocity/volume).

    example2) On the second clip the amp attack is turned up, or the transient is removed.
