Windows 10 just became a lot more suspicious to me

 

My operating system is one of the things that I really keep legit. A long time ago I used to get dodgy copies and I always bumped some wall and had to re-do the whole thing because somehow my mac address would get blacklisted, or something similar... and the updates catch up with the bad installations as well.

So only legit ones for me.

As Andrew says... it does sound suspicious... most likely it'll bite you in the arse.

Well they probably want people off those aging OSes, must be a pain in the ass for them. Why is nobody suspicious when Apple gives away their OS all the time? It's also only free for the first year but after that it will cost. That being said I'm sure there is a lot of internet integration which is something I hate being baked into the OS. *yes*

 

Cloud computing and storage, DRM, and lousy screen space optimization (Metro) are 3 of the things I hate the most. And they converge into one product now. Yay.

 

Metro can run on the desktop now and you can completely ignore it if you want. 10 has a lot of bonuses such as multiple desktops, a voice assistant (Cortana), it's faster, takes up little space and a lot more. I'm on Windows 8 so my thoughts are it can only go up from here.

 

Every version of Windows, will really works only after the ServicePack 1 release, so I will wait it for....
This is very important to us, because the drivers, bug fixes and correction patches, that is everything for Audio and our Plugins.
Just tested the experimental version of W10 but I'm impressed with it. Really good IMO.
Resuming, I will be an serious candidate to this FREE version, if really come out....

 

So if you pirated it you get it for free, but if you didn't & don't have windows 7 or 8 you have to pay? How do they determine if you pirated it? And can you do a fresh install if you pirated it or just upgrade it? Because if it's the latter then f*ck that, I like my OS Fresh.

LoL, I didn't even notice Windows 9 coming out at all...

 

It doesnt mean that your upgrade to Win 10 will make it legit. You'l probably find that there will be issues further down the line if your on a cracked OS.

As for fresh installs go, I'm hoping that it will update the license key so once its upgraded i can do a format and then fresh install with the new key. Otherwise im the same as you. I wont be working on an UPDATED OS. No chance

guys, maybe the basic features will be free while we have to pay for more stuff

 

I wonder if Win 10 will be a subscription OS and they make the pirates pay first? Office is subscription now, and that is a big middle finger to all customers legit or not.

You have to UPGRADE your former OS, and they will limit you on updates, i.e you probably wont get any (at least the important ones). Yeah, definitely big a catch.

 

Well... better a limited experience than a full Microsoft experience

 

Yep sounds like bait to me too. Probably trying to find out new ways to keep Win 10 from being cracked. What better way than to have non-genuine win users to hand over their bootleg system info via a "free update".

Best read that license agreement. Lol

 

I know their sorry for win8 but apologies to illegit user's is a new one.
knowing it's going to be cracked again, there's some sense in having user's relaxed enough to spend their money on other MS product, but as a legit user anyway, I find it odd that when I tried to buy from their app store I couldn't get my credit card details into the system as it defaults to having to be in the US, with no option for other country's as far as I can see.
