Christmas is not over, i can not believe that there is no Duende SSl, Nexus 2.2.3, NI Komplete Ultimate, Vengance Metrum for MAC! I think the Teams will not shit on Mac Users.. There hasnt been a big release this Christmas except Waves for Windows but it seems to be buggy.. So I think the Teams will release something big later that day especially for Mac as suprise ;)

Anyone that's been using a Mac for any length of time (not you < 3yr 'Mac-Switchers') knows -- there has NEVER been a 'booming' pirate community for the Mac, at least not like those that exists within the Windows world. Sure there have been several small 'close knit' Underground Mac communities that have provided servers, bulletin boards, Numbers and Cracks over the years -- but nothing in comparison to the level of thievery in the name of 'sharing' that has taken place within the Windows User communities over the past couple decades. It is TRUE -- If you want available warez -- no question -- get yourself a PC. You may eventually be forced to deal with the occasional virus, or trojan however (as the public nature of the PC 'warez' community often provides the perfect playground for cyber-deviants wishing for nothing but to cause people trouble) but everything has it's price. Again, if you are on a budget, or want to get the MOST bang for the buck -- hell yeah -- get a PC, it keeps you productively in the game and can be the perfect solution -- especially in a Studio Production-Only Setup (Offline).

That being said, I personally believe that you get what you pay for. I believe that there is something to be said for quality, and user experience. Yes, Apple does put together some high-end 'eyecandy' that (these days) leans toward the 'overpriced and pretentious' -- But -- I have yet to experience the same level of frustration and anger on this 'eyecandy' -- as I have encountered trying to rescue works from an terminally infected PC. For me personally -- aesthetics, design and user experience (hardware and software) are equally important aspects. In regards to expense vs performance, I do have my reservations, and suggestions: Buy Refurbished directly from Apple (Same as NEW), Purchase Applecare protection (worth every penny if ANY troubles arise), Upgrade RAM (Max) as soon as possible (For top performance), Never buy RAM Upgrades from Apple (Overly Expensive), Purchase External HD for all Media files and Audio/Sample Libraries (Maintain drive integrity & Internal Freespace), Maintain Internal HD under 80% Capacity for optimal performance (VRAM)

We in the Mac community are extremely fortunate for those quality liberated Softwares we DO HAVE available -- 'Quality, not quantity' (at least in my opinion) -- I do own and operate a PC as well (to dispel any negative vibes) -- and can find positive attributes in both setups -- I just prefer the Mac overall. So to each his own -- may you be well, creative, and productive !

Just jokin ...... but I guess that the ammount of releases that are pointed to PC users are based on the fact that there are many more PC users that MAC users (9 to 1)!

And, besides this ....... MAC-folks have had a lot of interesting releases in the past year where PC users have had nothing ..... Waves v.8 Complete by example!

This fuels many artistic projects that otherwise would not exist.
