Hey everyone, happy holidays first of all to everyone around the world.

Had a question wanted to get some feedback. does everyone who happens to own a mac for production feel as if they are being neglected by scene releases and other teams? I am not hating on anyone in any way... I am just curious is all. I have noticed many new programs for PC up but very little new has been coming forth for mac users. Again its just an observation and no way a slight to those who bring these amazing programs to the sites we love dearly... I just wondered is all.

Notice many new releases for PC?
Which one?
Waves 8 today you may say.
Well that has been a Mac release for almost a year now.
All Assigne releses? Well we all knew that Assigne dont do Mac.
Union they do both.
Dynamics? release samplepack and Kontakt lib and many Mac programs that PC user NEVER will have.
And Mac can use most of the kontakt lib releases but as far as i know Dynamics havent released Kontakt 5 for Mac yet.
What else?plz let me know.

 

One thing to keep in mind Mac users, There are so many more PC users than Mac users.

I'm not trying to put you down or anything but realize that you are a minority and may have to wait longer or even worse be ignored. I hope not. I hope things get better for the mac users.

PC's keep getting cheaper maybe someday you can have both. Another thing is that most of the pro audio studios are using Mac and buying software, That also decreases the number of Macs using cracked warez. A cracked PC software satisfies many more users than does a Mac crack.

Many years ago I was working in a all Mac studio, When it came time for me to get my own computer I looked at the software market and decided the Mac software was slow coming and there was not that much available at that time. So I went with the masses and chose PC, I still would like to own a Mac though. That said after owing probably a dozen PCs through the years.

I'm actually amazed how MUCH stuff is released for Mac's.

If you really want something thats not cracked then buy it (or you dont want it/ need it that much).

We had many stuffs for Mac these last months. I was afraid to not find anything for Mac when I switched. Hopefully there's a lot of things.
But these last days/weeks it's only PC that's true...

I pray for Solid State Logic come out on Mac, and Waves H-EQ. So if you hear me Cracked Santa please...

 

I agree with you in many points Burninstar!
Mac software is slow coming indeed - Apple's own fault, because they force
people to upgrade always to their newest Operation Systems....there's no real
unity under mac users anymore. Still my opinion is: You don't need all that
"new" stuff released here and there. I continue to work with material released
on 2008-2010 and it's really okay. Plus i'm able to use a PC too.
And if i really appreciate a product i support the devs directly.

After some days of illness i'm back to strength again - thanks god!

To all you PC Users like "one reason", screw you! I don't find your comment funny at all. You guys cry about Pro tools and Waves, while you steadily get everything else under the sun. Damn right I feel like Dynamics has neglected us Mac users, but it is what it is! Life moves on.

With all the software available for mac here in this website should be more than enough for anyone make good music, i just don´t get the point of all this complains about lack of releases.

 

Then you must be the only PC User(One reason) here in the whole wide world that has never complained about not getting Protools or Waves. Kudos for you!


As for you Phoney...I was speaking (if you had paid much attention before you chimed in) about New Software, (and the fact that it has basically been a dry well) which is important. Such as the changes in protools 10 HD. So much so that I brought it as usual. It is nice to try things out for real before investing so much money. But I also said life goes on. Now how about you go get one. Damn! I got a mix to finish! lol.

P.S. FYI If you need Pro Tools 10 HD, until December 31st, 2011. Avid will give you Pro Tools 10 HD for $599, even if you don't have the latest version(PT9HD). When you buy Avid Standard Support(Pro Tools 10 HD included in Purchase) for a year at $599 you can upgrade from all older versions until Dec. 31st! It saved me $900 big ones!!! Thats a whole lot better than 1499.99. Which me and a Thousand others Complained about too! Just not here. See ya!
