What I say is internet is a whole package.
You can't ask for a worldwide distribution platform and at the same time, expect nobody acting sideways, when it's possible.
Without it, they certainly wouldn't make a living as they do.

Anyone calling for DMCA is an asshole and a prick to me, reminds me of the darkest hours of our history... sorry, I couldn't resist
Anyway, these are just plugins. Not first world problems.

+10,000,000 on this comment... SERIOUSLY... I have been set for months now (and considering I first found Audioz in February of '14)... anything more is just "cuz I can try it" sort-of thing. I have all the plugs and samples I will ever need.

But yeah, I guess you are right... all of the Xfer stuff IS gone

I'm a curious guy, i love to test software, just to realize i prefer my good old Komplexer or Albino (all both gone) most of the time.
So even if EVERY warez disappear...i just don't care. There are demos. And softs without demos don't even need my attention. They are dongled or just hiding something.

What is more problematic to me is the attitude of chasing mouse with a caterpillar, like Steven Slate done years ago, before switching to dongle.
He and his mates were using DMCA, forum/website mods intimidation and such to remove all their products.
And even if the internet spread scene very fast...almost all their products disappeared.
It worked so much it probably paid for their dongle switching
But at the end (and with the Nebula "stealing consoles" episod), i hate Slate. Like i hate Tone2 malwares.

Defending products is one thing. Using DMCA can be a game of mouse/cat, raising interest for products.

But do not cross the line...
Years ago, i've had some words with some mods on another website, about removing products from a guy.
He was an user, and downloaded GB of products himself !!! Like Slate, who rescanned Nebula AlexB consoles for his OWN product.

World is not full of honest devs and bad pirates. Nor the opposite

It's shocking to see that a guy who calls a software developers a prick, although they probably have never met in real life, get's the most 'thank you's' for his post.

So, if somebody sells a product but he can't live from the sales because everybody steals the product, his business model is broken?

Do you really need to meet someone in real life to have an opinion about him?
Oh come on... let's not being hypocrites here, I'm sure you have one about me, although we've never met.

PS: I just gave you a thanks... so maybe now you feel better?

Nope, you just to need to look a little harder, everything with a DMCA request are still out there, there are lots of other sites that are not as obliging when it comes to DMCA requests, seek and ye shall find

Anybody complaining or hating on that "guy" who goes to lengthy process to protect its products from being distributed for free is that same person who doesn't have nothing and probably will have nothing to sell or offer for profit in return. Cause as soon as that person start selling for profit, he/she will realize that he'll need to do the same to survive. I know that argument of "Oh! but developer XYZ don't send DMCA" Well, that's developer XYZ's choice or problem.
I can never imagine some folks being freeloaders, hypocrite and arrogant at the same time but shoop, judging from some of the comments, some folks in these forums surely sound that way. I've download as much as most here. However, when a company or developer reaches out to ask to stop hosting links to their cracked software, I can never find a way to disagree or be mad, NEVER! That IS their product and they should go about protecting their rights as they see fit as long as they stay in line with the laws of the land.

Like many already said, I got plenty, download plenty and bought plenty to make music till I die.
There was 30+ years (or probably more) of music created without a iota of warez available in the pre-DAW eras and we all can agree that some of the best hits was from those eras using the same drum sets, the same guitars and pianos; No, latest update 10.1 r5 and crazy patches were not needed. So, no, IMO today the latest super duper compressor from Plugin Alliance is not needed either; Great if we get our hands on it but NOT needed.
A few people are panicking and sad that the freeloading days are getting narrower. Well, use all these Trillion Gigabytes of pluginotonium you already have in your HD(s) and start create something (or try finish what you've started). Damn, do it, even if you are putting out shitty music, it will sound good for some :like:

We may not want to admit it, but we've been so spoiled man LOL!

HAVING ACCESS TO PAID SOFTWARE FOR FREE IS A PRIVILEGE, NOT A GOD GIVEN RIGHT!
huhmm! I should make this my signature

I would buy all plugins I like if they sell them with $30-$50 each. But no, these greedy fucks want to sell with $199 starting price, sometimes $400 or more.

  18. There are many low cost plugs that fall into your buget as well as great free too. Nobody actually needs any money at all actually to create music on a computer besides having a computer, sound card, USB cable and headphones. Everything else is just iceing on the cake. Creativity puts you in the driver's seat, be it either in a Ferrari or a Ford, and the destination and sights along the way will be exactly the same, namely, expressing yourself through the use of sound in the best way you can with the tools at your disposal.
    edit: plus internet connection

In that case find maybe 3 or 4 freeware alternatives for plugs u don't really need and spend the money on something u do really want.

There enough good freeware plugins that would enable u to buy quite a few VSTi's at $150.

Another good idea maybe purchase a cheap DAW i.e Reaper, within your price range and use the DAW plugins and then u can save for the VSTi's u really want

Who said I'm not saving for it? :) Hopefully they will offer a discount on holidays to take advantage of it. Right now currency exchange rates suck ass. For that price I would be paying 3 months of my college tuition instead lol

    Priorities.

They sell them at that price because it's worth the effort, I guess. If I was a dev, I wouldn't be selling my stuff for mediocre prices after toasting my eyeballs for hours programming in front of a computer. I've been there, so it seems fair to me.
