    Entertaining clip.

but, as I understand, this kind of recording is unusable without headphones :grooves:

I still prefere listening music trough a good set of speakers.
    Thanks for sharing!

It's perfectly conceivable and noticeable with speakers (I'd say it's mostly for sounds, ambiance, noises; not so much music per se). It would just be more prone to reflections, environmental noise and cross-feeding. So, it could be degraded in a way. It's like listening through a pair of ears (duh...). But, it's weird to the ears because they're listening to "themselves" (as accurate as the representation can be). So, you're listening to the perception of ears (recorded) through the perception of ears (actual). :dunno: Well, the perception is there at least.

    P.S. Wrong section...

Sounds good but it doesn't seem like any big advance in tech. It seems like a small improvement in stereo, and stereo was the tech that revolutionised audio recordings.

Binaural recordings are awesome. I've even made my own binaural head/ears and put in some Panasonic WM-61A electret condensers. Surpricingly good results. I'm currently using it when recording audio for an upcoming greenlit indie game.
That 3dio stuff is just too expensive. :snuffy:

I remember as a teen (1996 or so) when I heard that classic Barber Shop on radio with my headphones on. I was excited and I think it (along with the sounds made by Ben Burtt) did something to me. ;)
