Since Camel Audio is "toast," there website no longer has any product pages, and only support and user account pages are available.

I'd like to track down some of the various sound libraries for Alchemy that I remember being interested in; although, I can't remember which ones they were until I saw a list.

    I own 2:

    - Biolab's Dark Space
    - Dream Voices

Does anyone know all of the sound libraries that they used to offer on their website?.. or a webpage that displays it?

    Thanks everyone!!  :mates:

    It doesn't. *no*
Kontakt is a sampler, Alchemy is a synth capable of additive-wavetable-granular synthesis and more.

I own Alchemy and really like it, real shame that they shut down. It be great if people would start uploading the libraries that are missing from the scene , now that the company is done for and will not lose. I have a few myself and will pack them up, if you will..hint hint

I don't see that being a problem either way.Why worry about that when the company is shut down. They got my money and can move on to hopefully bigger and better things.

See my topic on the Alchemy libraries - unless they are modified they will only work in the cracked 1.25 version of Alchemy, and they won't work in legit versions.

Once they've been modified as I described, then they will work in all versions of Alchemy. The libraries that have been uploaded before were all created for the 1.25 version of Alchemy. The more recent libraries will almost certainly require Alchemy 1.5 which wasn't cracked, and so will be, once modified, useable for everybody with legit versions of Alchemy.

I agree that that it would be great if we could collect together all the libraries and make them available now that they are no longer available for purchase and no financial damage to the authors would be incurred in doing this.

yeah.. thats why I ended up buyin Alchemy... I liked some of the newer Libraries that only worked with the unavailable v1.5... then, realizing that the "cracked" libraries didn't work, made me want to go out and buy 'em up since they are selling like hot-cakes on used forums.

But there was only a handful that I really wanted.. not that all of them don't have somethin' to work with, but still. I like the packs that have soundscapes... thats what I really look for personally. that and pads... dark, thematic, mysterious, etc. Don't really care 'bout the basses, arps, drums, and other shit like that.

But man... loading in your own sounds, and a lot of the zero-g stuff (dark ambiences and all those types) makes for straight-ridiculous-retarded sounds.

Interesting - could there be a link between the latest version being uncrackable and the company folding? Maybe this is proof that warez does generate a lot of promotion and interest in VSTs, out of which it generates sales. Maybe the other devs should think about this.

Oh really? I've never seen this circulated on either platform.
Doesn't bother me as I bought my copy but I'm surprised, as I thought it was well known the only version of Alchemy out there was an old 1.25 version...

Just because it's not circulated doesn't mean it's not out there.

I can't believe they burnt out man! This is literally my all time favourite synth/sample hybrid (whatever you want to call it). I've tried some of the major, more popular ones and still prefer Alchemy. It felt like a pleasure to learn this VST inside & out until you feel like you have a map of it behind your eyes, whereas other synths can sometimes feel convoluted and unnecessarily cluttered. Almost every time I fired up my DAW (practically every day) I instinctively dropped an Alchemy into the project. I love making deep, atmospheric, mystical pads like you hear in oldskool 90's Jungle, DnB, Trance, Chillout etc and Alchemy just seemed to KILL it in that field, aswel as Jungly/Garagey/Hip-hoppy chord stabs. My true love VST!

I take it theres no plans among the different scene groups like Air or Assign to release version 1.5? I wish I knew somebody in the pro-audio scene grapevine...

There is currently an effort underway to collect all the libraries - when that is done, then there will likely be a release.
