Hey guys,

I'm writing some pop stuff which is quite Katy Perry - esque and would love to know which sounds you would recommend for the staccato chords in "Roar" -

and "Brave" by Sara Bareilles -

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I have many piano kontakt libraries but all are too classical for this sound.

It might be possible to get to the desired sound with some of those classical pianos you own, which ones do you have?

 

Pop stabs are generally piano but I have heard them with guitars or horns. Try them with synth leads too the point is to use a lead sound as a percussion so that they imply rhythm instead of melody
