SGA1566 MkII adds major processing and feature enhancements to SGA1566. At the heart of SGA1566 MkII
is a single channel vintage tube preamplifier with added two-band active Baxandall EQ and stereo
processing. To achieve an authentic analog sound, the preamp circuit is simulated in real time using
the high performance circuit simulator.

The two-band Baxandall EQ can be positioned either before or after the preamp, or be completely
taken out of the signal chain. Up to 8x oversampling can be used to eliminate aliasing. SGA1566 MkII
offers two different filter types for use in oversampling. The SGA1566 is designed to add warmth to
a track, as a saturation compressor, or to add “dirt” with tube overdrive.

it means, if I download mkII - it will be DEMO?
first version is not working in REAPER - causes an error. Trying to find MSVCP.dll-file or something like that...

 

MK-2 won't work until activated.

Looking up the missing DLL file (which is a common microsoft dll file, something of a visual studio runtime 2008 / 2010 / 2012) will fix it for you.

I donated $10 to it (also because of the fender-y tube amp sim, there are little free clean amp sims, most are high gain monsters).. is it weird that I feel a bit ripped off now? I should not care of course, donation is donation. But still...

 

Another one of those CPU Killing Plugs? They sound pretty nice though.

 

If the HIGH CPU mode is too CPU intensive there are two other options, MID (SGA1566 MkII only) or LOW CPU mode. In our opinion, MID and LOW CPU modes sound great too.
