Customs! yes, now you can make your own drum kit for your Toontrack midi libraries from different sample libraries! Same EZDrummer key map and works with General MIDI as well. Just drag and drop each single part of drums to KONTAKT & get a full kit. As you know kicks & snares makes a huge difference in sound, so my priority is to collect different great free sounds from around the internet and will pour to KONTAKT in EZD key map. I will add more here and will keep you posted.

There two more Kontakt freebies on that website too!!!

Seems cool but I don't get how it will work universally?

Also you can do that with any drum sample as all u need to do is open the drum map for each kit & drop the sample in the right slot so don't really get the point but still.

Different EZ libraries use different mappings of GM Extended as shown here

    EZ Mappings

Therefore if I open say kit mapped pop rock 56 is mapped to cowbell, so with Nashville midi that kit is gonna play a cymbal when it should be a cowbell?

Whilst it will work on a certain level he gonna have to do a very precise mapping of each library in EZ drummer & modify it for each set of samples i.e certain midi files are optimized for certain EZ kits. That's the whole point of GM Extended.

Also you gonna have loads of problems translating the velocity layers correctly & that will be a huge job but all credit to him for giving it a go.

Also on the good side if he getting together a large collection of samples that people are free to use as they wish then u can't really complain there I guess

    Edit

Just tested & doesn't work 100% as I suspected load a midi file from the pop rock kit & play it through his Kontakt kits, add a few cowbells & it plays cymbals etc, etc. Isn't bad overall but the point is that he gonna have to create a custom kit for each set of midi files from each EZ kit, mapped exactly right to make it work & then it won't work 100%. GM extended different to GM!

Therefore even tho it pretty ok a huge job & much simpler just to use the EZ Drummer map & drop your own samples actually in the correct areas. Pretty good effort tho & free which all good *yes*
