    Faithfully Recreating The System 35

Three years of research and design has culminated in Moog Music recommencing the manufacturing of a limited number of Moog System 35 modular synthesizers. Using all of the original documentation, as well as the original circuit board and art files, Moog engineers have hand-built true recreations of the original instruments based on their 1973 factory specifications.

Each individual module is hand-stuffed and the components are hand-soldered to circuit boards using traditional wiring methods. Each module is then finished with a photo-etched aluminum panel, and placed in its new modular instrument.

This limited reissue of the Moog System 35 modular synthesizer is built to order. Only 35 total units will be made and sold worldwide.

Hahaha, I think that's as close as portable that you'll get. A wagon is needed for transport!

Of course this costs so much because it's huge and handmade. I'd rather they went the Korg way and modernised the manufacturing of modules with modern circuits, but to the original specs, and sell it for less dosh. Like all this beautiful and extraordinary Eurorack modules: http://www.modulargrid.net/e/modules/browser :wank-wank:  They work great although they use modern circuitry, but they don't use digital circuitry, only where it's really needed, like in a sampler module, for instance.

It's an art work. Daddy likes. :wank-wank: Daddy wants. But really, 22000... it's a "not even dreaming of territory". *no* When I think what one can get for 22000 - whole proper super-quality analogue/digital studio and buy enough pot, wine and beer to last you for years. :bleh: And Euromodular 10x the size of this one, speaking of modulars, which is about 9.5x overkill. :bleh:

I'm currently drooling over this new Waldorf Eurorack NW1: http://www.waldorf-music.info/nw1-overview *yes*
