Hi guys. I have an annoying issue with Ableton Live since version 9.1.6 when exiting the program, but only with 32bit version.
I did everything. 2x freshinstall. Allways registry cleaned before.

The program is working without any problems but when i exit i get a Windows popup saying "Live 9.1.6 or 7 not working anymore. A problem prevented the proper execution of the program. Pleass close the Program" (self translated from german. I dont know how its in english.)






I deactivated the pluginfolder, Live 8 folder, Max4Live folder in AL just to see if the culprit is there.
I know its not a big problem but it says me that something is not ok. With AL 64 bit or other programs everything works fine.
Had anyone the same problems with other versions of Live?

EDIT: @GanjaRa: Thnx for your tip m8. Deinstalled Quicktime, now it works fine. MAybe reinstalling helps but will stay without quicktime for a while since its needed for encoding videos for Live.


My Rig: i5-4670k, 16GB Ram, Win 7 64bit.

Can't help on Win, but on OSX I must force quit it (32/64) 2 every 3 times I try and quit it.
I know it doesn't help, but you're not alone

Well before 9.1.6, probably since one of first 9.X.X I tried.
When I install a new version it works decently for some time (clean cache), then again. I use to clean cache often and helps.
On win should ne in AppData/Roamning/blahblah dunno where exaclty...

 

This happens on 64 bit occasionally too.

Side note, on start up, loading sets, and shut down, I find that just giving it 2-3 minutes to think can really help. Certain plugins, especially NI instruments with lots of banks in them (for me, Kontakt and Massive) cause Ableton to take a major shit about 2 out of 3 times I load up/shut down certain projects. If you click around while it's trying to sort it out, it'll stop responding and crash. If you just give it the requisite couple of minutes, everything works fine.

 

@copylefter: Before i mad a fresh install i deleted all the Ableton Live related Folders in AppData/Roaming, ProgramData, My documents and in the registry but no help. The issue is still happening.
@Cav Emp: No matter how much time i let it be. I just open Ableton without loading a project and also waiting 1 hour. No help. But thanx for your comment anyway. Maybe it can help other people.

 

i had same in a prev version

reinstalling of QUICKTIME (!!) stopped this

@ArcticStorm: tried to extract. But no use. Did not install with grey icon. I have this blue icon since verion 9.0. never had grey icon. I have AL 9 Suite.

I dont have other acounts. I run my system allways as admin or with admin privileges.
