Hi guys, i don't know if this question have been answered here but the search didn't return a useful result.

So i made a track in which i used vocals from a sample pack i bought and released it as a free download. The track had a lot of views on youtube and plays on soundcloud and i've been contacted by some labels for a release through them.

My question is: can a song using these kind of vocals can be released commercially and how do you manage songwriting rights ?

    Thanks

Just check the terms and conditions and the state of royality for the vocal pack.

double check the terms, if not sure you need to contact the samples publisher before any commercial commitments are made

Like everyone else said.. check on that. But most sample packs are advertised as 'Royalty Free', meaning you don't have to pay royalties on them.
