However, if it just doesn't work *sometimes* I'd just spray some contact spray or put a drop of isopropyl alcohol in it first, then leave it for a couple of hours to dry off before you try it. Also, when you spray it, try pushing it a few dozen times. I think that's going to solve the problem. Maybe you won't need to buy a new one.

Have a great day, mate! :mates:

Hey Sinewave...any experience on the membrane for the same synth (dx7), mine has a bunch of holes now...I've been searching in evil-bay and the well known synth sites without luck...just recently thought that someone may found a way for a diy version,,,however it seems that the interweb is virgin terrotory for a membrane diy blog/post...by any chance...do you have an idea?,..tia Sid

Yamaha service centers or Yamaha direct sell all replacement parts and diagrams if needed.

As a temporary solution, maybe ...

    Features

Multi platform (OS X, Windows or Linux) and multi format (VST, soon AU and others that I don't use); by using JUCE
The sound engine music-synthesizer-for-android is closely modeled on the original DX7 characteristics
144 DAW automatable DX7 parameters available from one single panel
Fully supports DX7 input and output Sysex messages; including controller change. This means that you can use this with a native DX7/TX7 as a patch editor and sysex manager
Each operator have a realtime VU meter to know which one is active
Can load/save any DX7/TX7 sysex programs. It is also possible to save a single program into a different sysex file.

    It`s for free, of course.

Call Syntaur. Talk to a real person. Explain your problem. If they don't have a solution and/or parts you need, I'll be surprised. They seem to know more about certain brands, keyboards, and "real world" problems than the manufacturers. *yes*
