    Hails!

I meant to post here (not start a new topic) so here I am!

Like my last erroneous post, I'm a trombonist (for 22 years) and I play tenor, bass, and contrabass. I really like heavy orchestral (brassy) soundtracks. I have a few skills at composition, and I've recently learned how to use VST with Finale so I can hear something better than MIDI!

One of your members mentioned the "initiation section"??? Is this it? Or some other section?

Hi everybody. I'm a guitarist, producer, songwriter, performer, jazz fusion/Grateful Dead/New Wave/Prog Rock/EDM enthusiast that's glad to be here. I've been lurking around here for a while, and I must say that I've learned more here in the last year than I have anywhere else on the web. I love this place and am thankful it's here. Thanks for all the hard work everyone and all the great knowledge you share.

    Hi,

lurking this place from the very beginning, I finally decided to register.

I'm more of an enthusiast than a real musician/producer of any sorts. My wapon of choice is FL Studio. Even though I like lots of different styles, my tracks tend to sound like game-soundtracks. I begin a new track almost every day but rarely finisch them.

Some day I'll do a proper introduction.

No worries, I have a feeling you'll be making more progress now that you're here. And I'm not just saying that either, people have actually written in with much gratitude because their creativity exploded after only a short time with us. *yes*

Hi all! I've also lurked a bit and finally got around to registering. I like to make music that makes me feel good - been doing it primarily on a computer for many years, and it's been my therapy for as long. I've recently been investing much more free time to it, and I'm looking to get better in the areas I'm weaker in.

    Hi everybody

I'm from France and just an (old and passionate) amateur= began on guitars (still playing but less cause loving my keyboards and softs) and then came to synths then arrangers (playing solo at home)... I had many different keyboards through the times (I'm 52 yo)... but now I've fixed my permanent set (Yamaha Tyros 4 for which I've developped extra sampled voices -also T2 and 3- and many tutorials so that people don't have to buy expensive Yam Premium Packs but be able to feed their own needs by releasing their own extra voices (as I did= 25 000 voices in 50 home made collections by converting my old Akai/EMU/Kurzweil CDs)... but the project died (for the same reasons than those pointed out by the Teams= sharing doesn't mean that always the same ones have to give when the others just take! We're just now 12 friends/members on a private forum in french and we left Yamaha forums from where we were all coming!
But I'm now -via AudioZ- a real fan of MAO (my DAW= Reaper, lot of players/softwares from here... my favorite ones= NI Kontakt, Spectra Omnisphere, U-He Zebra², ReFx Nexus, Rob Papen Blue2... but many others are also fine... I've got a Focusrite Scarlett 18i8= my 2 hardware keyboards (Tyros 4 and Kronos 73) and my whole software set piloted by an Axiom MK II 61 (hope soon it will be replaced by an Akai Advance 61!) are mixed with my guitars set (and pedalboards)...

If I can help on any purpose where I 'm a bit experimented (shaping voices/progs/combis for Tyros/Kronos; finding tips & tricks to pilot softwares via my 3 keyboards, quite good knowledge about the sample collections I've been working with) don't hesitate...

But I would be very happy if some of you could initiate me to code (I'm pure newbie with programmation/-deep-informatics ) and to use those -so numerous- modern tools that I just know via their presets or via video tutorials...

Hope the problem with the Teams will be solve soon if all users/Members just realize how important it is to be respectful : this generous and enormous amount of work has to be supplied (it's evident!)

I joined as soon as I found this site. There was so much information. I don't remember introducing myself, so here I am.

I started producing off and on with FL Studio seriously in '09. Music has always been my first love, so I create what I feel here and there. I have produced a few tracks & engineered some indie artists for a few bucks, but I'm a pro photog/videographer. When I can, I get it in with the keyboard - currently, finally, learning to play for real.

Currently, I'm fed up with Pro Tools, but she's been the main squeeze up until now. I'm learning Maschine and thinking of migrating to Logic. iMac is the computer of choice.

    Peace from Brooklyn

Give thanks, Cat. I decided to be more interactive in the forums. There is truly a wealth of knowledge in here, and I'm always happy to learn. Props to everyone behind it. I'll contribute what I can.

Switching gears, I'm not familiar with the whole site. But, where is the thread (if there is one) that we can listen to each other's music? I honestly don't have much to share yet. I'm learning more than creating, and the old stuff is... old. But, I'd like to take a listen to what the members are making.
I'm saying, there are so many musicians here, right?

Edit: Disregard my asking where. Keyword searches didn't yield the goods, but just manually perusing... And, I found it. How many times has that happened...? You ask somebody something and find the answer before they give it.
    Thanks, anyway.

    Hello All,
I'm Nico from Brussels, Belgium, I began producing music one year ago, I work with Live 9 suite on three (very) different projects :
    - In solo, I don't really know my gendra, I guess it's electronic music... ^^ I don't have many finished tracks... Yet!
    - With another Ableton user and guitarist, we make experimental music, mostly based on resampling what he's playing on his electric guitar(s), samples from anywhere and crazy effects
    - In the third project I don't compose, I make the recording and the mixing for a guy who sings, plays accoustic guitar, harmonica and percussions.

I'm glad to join this community to receive advice from more experimented musicians and wish you all the best!
