    Hi, I'd like to know:

How powerful is your hackintosh computer for Logic (Pro X) ?
(Have You ever test/reach the 'limit'?)

and What kind (hardwares spec, OS version etc) of Your Hackintosh Computer?

Even an older Core2Duo can work very well as long as you're not using too many resource-hungry VSTi/AU instruments.
Logic X instruments are very efficient, with Sculpture being a slight exception.
I have a mac mini (i7-quad) and a "hack" (i5-duo, 2.5GHz, 8GB RAM, 128GB SSD), and I've never reached the limit neither with Kontakt nor with Logic or both. Maybe I should try to ;-)
I once had the audio stutter because my web browser had been eating 50% CPU due to some lame ad's Javascript or Flash running.

i havent' a powerfull pc but for me is good enough but Transform in S1 and Freeze in Logic are big features both in Windows and OSX.

i3 3,20 ghz, 6 gb of ram, ati radeon hd 5450 (512 mb), 1 TB harddrive @7200 rpm

    + m-audio 49 keyboard
+ d-link wi-fi usb pen (Netgar only works in Windows)

as you can see it's a very basic setup. I use a lot vsti, reverbs, delay + cpu hungry vst like OZone 6s, Kontakt.

i would like to buy a 512 GB ssd but for now i'm fine, maybe next pc who knows...

    i forget my bad:

    Dual Os:

    -Windows 7 x64 Home Premium
    -OSX Mavericks 10.9.0

    Just curious:
Haven't you found any issues with 10.10.2?
Do you also run Ableton Live?
What Logic (and what Ableton) version?

    Thanks...

My hackintosh is already 5 year old, so I think it's about time to saving and planning to buy a new machine.

    It's Intel Core 2Duo E7300 @2.66, Asus P5KPL SE, Asus EN8400GS 512MB, Apple OS X Mavericks 10.9.5.
I'm still using it to work with Logic Pro X and AbletonLive 9.
The Logic instruments and effects sounds better to me (different topic for different thread)... so I'd like to work more with it, but in my case, it's much 'heavier' to my old system than the Live, so that's why I'd like to know Your experience.

Using a custom water loop here. My system is near silent the way I have it configured. I kept all power saving options and speed step enabled in bios, just raised max turbo clock to 4.0. That way the system idles at 1.2Ghz and ramps up to 4.0 when needed. The gpu is also in the same loop.

    I'm on Ableton
    i7
    16GB RAM
    GTX 680
    2.5TB HDD + SSD

Ableton runs great, still not mindblowing. I blame Ableton Live 9.1.6, waiting for 9.1.7 to fix all the bugs.

#Would you please tell me what kind of watercooling system is it?

    #Is it expensive?

#How hard is it to install it for someone who only has average skill in pc building?

    #What kind of i7?

#Why do you still need & use additional Graphic Card instead of the i7 integrated HD4xxx graphic, which according to many people is powerful enough for the job?

#Why is "Still not mindblowing"? In what terms?

#What kind of Ableton 9.1.6 bugs do you experience?

Its a custom loop. The hoses, fittings, waterblocks, pumps, radiators, reservoir, were purchased separately. It could get very expensive depending where you get your parts from. If you are looking into a watercooling system that is easy to install with no maintenance I would recommend a closed loop system. Corsair, Thermaktake, Antec, Cooler Master, all make watercooling kits that are inexpensive and are very easy to install.

    1) i7 2600k. Stock clock, when this thing starts slowing down i'll start overclocking it but dear lord this thing is STILL kicking ass!

    2) Ableton Live 9.1.6 had bugs, now that 9.1.7 is out it's actually solved most of them

    3) I have Ableton automatically starting up whenever OS X starts up or else my audio interface (TRAKTOR Audio 2) starts glitching. When Ableton opens during that first startup, I can't "click" anything. I must close and relaunch the Ableton app. Very minor, but annoying.
