I had an idea for the forum that I would love to see implemented and I'm sure I'm not the only one:

A "preset sharing" sub-category where members could share their own presets for various plugins. I think people would learn a lot from each other that way.

Just throwing the idea out there

Well since there is no "suggestion box area" area, so I settled on the lounge , no need to be a dick about it

Yeah, seemed like a pretty dickless suggestion from Mykal, I read it as, "Go forth and make it happen young Sir."

Fortunately, even with the Sex moniker, most of us here tend to keep our penises out of topics. It just starts getting messy, not to mention uncomfortable, if members flash out their members at any given opportunity.

Plenty of places on this here iNet where you can go and find that kind of behaviour, or at least, that`s what I`m told.

I think it's an okay idea, but do see some barriers in organising and maintaining such a system (i.e. moderation, storage, structure)

 

I also think this should be an own category like we have for "samplers" with sub-categories for "Kontakt" and "Maschine"...otherwise when only starting a thread it would be nearly impossible to sort it in an adaquate way. BTW..what would be the correct secion "Working with sound"? Seems not to be the best idea for Patches...as its more like "Software" (because we also have Sample Librarys in category "Software")

Yeah i'm ready to share too if they put a category like that.

 

Exact opposite, users generally don't share their setups except some sites like guitar amp presets sharing.

 

As Mykal says, why not start one yourself, if it gets popular, Cat/admin team can always move it to a more appropriate place on the forum and also pin it (place at the top of section). Please leave Dick alone, he can be very sensitive at times

Good idea.
Begin just one thread with any synth or effect name it Share Presets for Synth and effects, I'll share something for sure. If the thread have success you can be sure that moderators will create a special section.

This is the good, "try before we work" policy.

 

Cubase, FL Studio etc. mixer presets would be cool too. I will share my presets if people share their mixer presets too, i need good piano, guitar, string setups.

 

If you finally do the thread, post a link to it here.

 

I will open a thread if he doesn't do this. Because i requested that before too
