Seems pretty cool!!
Also seems like it takes away from the simplicity of Recabinet. Now its just like amplitube or guitar rig. Full blown amp modelling!

 

Recabinet sounds really good, so I hope this amp simulator will as well.

However, very probably it will be just more of the same...Let's wait and see.

In my opinion, there's nothing better than Scuffham's S-Gear out there. The only thing that comes really close is Mercuriall's JCM800 Hot Preamp with Mercuriall Cab, which are both free, by the way.

Anyway, if you haven't tried Mercuriall Cab, go and try it right now, specially if you're a guitarist. It's simply the best cab simulator out there. I don't know he he did it, but the developer managed to capture the dynamics of the real thing...Everything amp sim sounds better through it.

My current main guitar effects chain always involves Ignite/Lepou/Mercuriall followed by Mercuriall Cab. This is a killer combo, in my opinion...And all freeware. It sounds and feels better than all commercial alternatives I've ever tried, except for S-Gear.
