Mine doesn't work, file size 73.4kb, after uploading it is 6.54kb, looks like only one image from the gif file is being saved

Yep, mines meant to slowly rotate but it just stands still.

No biggie, just figured it was "one of them thar things".

 

What about the bug showing mails like (1/0) means: "you have 1 of 0 mails in your post". asdgfsdfa ... By the way: my inbox is empty.

SAiNT I can also confirm that when I download my gif avatar and compare with the original size it's substantially smaller. Went from 14.9 KB to 3.65 KB.

Also perhaps a feature that would allow us to use an externally hosted image as an avatar would be really nice. Currently there is a limit of 100KB on the ones we upload to the server and that should overcome that small limit.

On a sidenote it would be a great feature for our image hosting service to allow to link to an external image as well. For example a lot of the time when composing a post you may see a suitable image available online that you want to use. You then have the extra step of downloading it to your computer, only to upload it again. Perhaps an option to reference an external image and the system would download it from that link would be cool. For example when you click Upload image and it usually gives you a file browser dialog box perhaps it could bring up a screen that asks you if you want to upload an image from your computer or use a link to an external image (for example http://imgur.com/121546). If you enter an address for an external image the system would then download that image to the servers and include it in the post.

I`ve exchanged the animated avatar a while ago, as far as I remeber it was working fine.
Just here to say for the all the hard you do in the backround at this time. I think it`s healthy for a pro-admin to go by occasion. Apparently many folks here dealing with the forum(s) in a non-binding nature, always going for convenience in the first, so I feel urged to express my undiluted .
It`s not meant judgemental, I find it great to see AS/AZ growing ! Somehow part of the process that some wants to around.
