Pretty excited to try it out, though chances to see it on AZ are very slim, thanks to SF additional layer of phone verification.

Yes, since May 2014 one has to provide telephone no. where you receive SMS message with verification code - all this to be able to use their *new* download manager.

 

How does that prevent someone from sharing it, once downloaded ? Before this system, you still needed someone to buy a legit copy and therefore provide them personal information through the credit card payment. :dancing:

 

Simply, so far our teams don't know how to remove their watermark, so they fill in fake info. But with this phone verification you actually have to enter valid no. which can be later tracked.

 

Didn't know that, either. Hope they won't resort to iLok or some similar sort of bullshit procetion, that would destroy their great image so far in my eyes.

BML is a good line of products though I don't support the ridiculous protections they put in place. I would never leave a phone number when buying a library and I don't know anyone that would find that acceptable. Chopin made a funny joke but who knows if this might not be where we're headed on this prison planet.
