Many of you may have noticed the U-he synths in the Torrent world - there are like 3 or 4 of the best for OS X, but I think I tried one or two of these about 6 months ago, and it was no succes.

I depend on AAX!! And maybe the problem is that U-he uses Pace software security? I have no idea whether they do or not?

Has anyone succeeded with U-he in AAX64 for Mac? Recently there was "Presswerk" at Audioz - although I read somewhere, that an issue might occur with some beta tester time limit or something...

Is there a list of Pace / iLok plugins?

Is U-he soft synths on iLok?

 

All AAX, also freeware, can't work if one byte in the code is modified. U-He don't use iLok, just serials.
If you want to develop in AAX you must use PACE signature on the plugs, and that makes it untouchable, no matter how it is protected.

Through the last 7 years or so, we´ve spent at least €35.000 just on pro audio software. The first couple of years we waisted a lot, but now we have a good balance using warez. If we keep using something, then we get the real deal.

And everyone knows how tough it is switching your daily synth. The´re like thousands off´em, but my head can only keep up with a few. And if there came no testers, we would always use the same synths - it really takes time and effort to change

 

Presswerk is in beta that's why you saw it on AudioZ. u-he uses a custom in-house developed multi-layer protection system.

That's why beside my curiosity for supposed ProTools superiority, I don't even want to try it. What do they think? Are we millionaire or what?

Even though I´m hooked up on Pro Tools 11 HDx - VSTs and AUs are running on the system through the perfect working BlueCat PatchWork

And with Sugar Bytes´ 32lives it´s possible to wrap goodies like Sylenth1 and Lexicon´s reverb plugins

Avid is a bloodsucking giant - just like any company possible will be. They even charge $79 to pick up the phone, not to mention the same for answering an email. And even though I have a past in both Logic and Cubase and I´m quite familiar with both DAWs, I would never consider starting up anything with either of these programs. And I have co-worked with Ableton users as well, and just like with Logic etc. there are a few benefits with each different DAW, but - in my opinion - none of those adds up like Pro Tools. And it is incredible stable
