Disappointing, very disappointing. The only useful new feature there for me is the bounce feature.

 

Studio One 3 will be cool no doubt but you can't compare something as robust as Cubase to Studio One. *no*

 

Yes me too, waiting for Studio One V3....someone knows the release date?

 

I sold my Cubase licence and moved to Studio one. Ugly GUI aside I prefer it for everything. Cubase does have a bigger feature set but personally a lot of that feature set never got used. In terms of Workflow and general fludity Studio One leaves Cubase for dust.

If they get V3 right hen It could be a game changer for them. I'd love to see more MIDI features, A nicer GUI and a clip looping funcion like Ableton would be awesome.

 

Oh God, please, no...

 

I don't mean the session view. I mean he ability to select loopable regions within your loop and change the loop start point etc. This is a brilliant feature in ableton. It helps yield results that you would never come up with.

 

c`mon Steinberg again a slap in the face

the biggest request from the users was to get rid of the Dongle

and to make a clear Statement we dont fear Protection but

what you gonna do if you want to perform live and left the Dongle at home by accident

b4 now anybody turns up and says "call the hotline" yeah great idea spending 10 min on the phone just to find

out that without the dongle you cant use the software is really helpfull.

i would love to see a Steinberg employee facing that Problem when he wants to perform

ahh and after seeing the Vid a few improvements can maybe make a better Workflow listing to your Buyers could be

a milestone

but who am i to critisise Steinberg

By dockable windows they mean windows that can be pinned...? I read a bit here, but I still can't quite grasp it.

Also, what's with that "Pro | Volution"? It reminds me of "Pro Evolution (Soccer)".

 

Steinberg getting better & better they now going forward at some pace. They have stood the test of time (thirty years this year lol!)

Some of the hardware they have also introduced has radically improved workflow & comes at a reasonable cost.

IMO they seem to be on the right path again after a 'slight slump'.

They have introduced some cool new features & now in general much more up to date with the times.

Personally for myself it is the DAW of choice & way ahead of most by some distance.

Not wanting to start ant DAW argument & of course each to their own but it looks cool for me personally.

As for the losing the dongle forget it, I imagine they will keep it till it starts dramatically affecting sales which it probably isn't at the momemnt.

It works for them & their customers who buy & in the main don't tend to mind too much.
