So, i'm rewatching all this videos to see if i can grab some more knowledge, and i recently started trying to recreate schossows sounds that he used in reverie (the saw pluck, the acid arps etc etc)

i've noticed he uses T-Racks(???) in every single channel, and i think this is the thing doing the difference, since it's the only one i don't have and it's the one changing the sound a lot. Anyone got any idea of what it is?

    T racks 1.x thing down there…

Dude, it can be anything from the bundle. How could we know? :dunno:

I think the master chain is doing much of the work, since he doesn't want to show it.

    Hi mate,

It's T-racks - Classic Compressor. He's using it to mainly to control dynamics and to add energy. Not sure on the exact settings as he'll be using different settings according to the sounds he's using on that channel.

    @ Julianveloso,

    I think that's simply the First Version of 'T-RackS' --> '1.x'.
Nowadays, the 'last-in-date' Version is the 'V4', and more exactly the 'v4.7.0', which appeared these last days on this 'Brother's Site' (aka 'AudioZ').

I found the following Image through my Archives, and I think that's the GUI of the First Version of 'T-RackS' : 'T-RackS 1.x'

Hope it can help you in some way...

New T-RackS is much, much better regarding DSP quality, Julianveloso. Keep away from their "classic" plugins if you want your tracks to sound nice. But who knows what plugins he's using within T-RackS v1 because it is a channel type plugin. My guess would be classic compressor/EQ/clipper. He could be using only the compressor or EQ, but I do think he's using more than that. People somehow like the washed out, limp, and full of aliasing and distortion digital sound nowadays. The music industry is to blame for that... :snuffy:  I hope they rot in hell as soon as possible. :snuffy:

It's a mastering suite where you can find anything (compressors, reverbs, limiters, EQs, tape echo,...). He could have used pretty much anything to process the sound, it's hard to tell from just a picture.

Yeah, i saw the T-racks 4.7 in audioz earlier today, that's what reminded me of the video. What do you guys think, i'm trying to achieve his exact same sound, but would i sound better if i tried t-racks 4.7 instead of 1.0?

Yes. But the *key thing* is knowledge and experience, not the plugins you use. If you don't know *how* to use the plugins and have bad ears, monitors, headphones... you get my drift? *yes* People tend to think "if I use the same "stuff" the "x" is using, I'm going to get the same great results". Not at all. You have to know your "shit". These people have been refining their skills for years and years and it actually doesn't matter what plugins they use. They can make something sound great no matter the plugins they use. Like, I can make you a great master just with Repaer's stock plugins. It's just my choice that I use different tools for some reason. But I can make do with just about any plugins, all freeware if need be. It all pretty much depends on your experience, knowledge, and your monitors and your room's acoustics.

    @ Julianveloso,

I think (but I could be wrong ! :dunno: ) that the first thing to know, as so well said by 'Chopin4525' *yes* :

...is to exactly know which of the included 'Modules' are active within each instances of 'T-RackS 1.x' used by 'Schossows'... *yes*

Concerning the 'V4' ('v4.7.0'), you may certainly achieve more (or better) results, mainly due to the fact that this 'Bundle' contains far more Individual 'Modules' (separate Plugins) than it was the case with the first Versions of 'T-Racks' available : 'T-Racks 1.x' and 'T-Racks 24', for instance...

People need to stop worrying about what plugins other people use… free your mind of this thinking. It's not about WHAT you use – it's about H O W! THAT's the difference and NOT what plugins somebody uses. Here's an analogy for you just to make it even clearer: Having a Formula 1 Car doesn't turn you into a Race Driver. Understand the principles of what you are doing thoroughly and you can achieve great sound with a few tools.
