So I just finished my first ever techno track... I've been working on it for weeks now, fine tuning every sound and effect... it's the track I spent the most time and know-how on, out of all the tracks I finished since I started producing like half a year ago. I can feel myself getting a better feeling for what sounds good and how I can make specific sounds, which is great... and yet I already know a handful of things that I don't like about this track, especially mastering is a thing that I have yet to learn a lot about.

Anyways, enjoy listening... Any (constructive) criticism is absolutely wanted!

    Hey,

The intro is nice. Maybe you could layer a bit of white noise with it, but it's not mandatory of course.

I'm listening on cheap headphones, I dan't comment much about the mix/master but I hope it's not too bass heavy on big monitors.

The Break @ 2 mins is nice. I notice some reberberated white noise, like I was refering to for the intro of the track.

I really like the dubby tech chords. But maybe you could add a bit more variation to them over the length of the song. More automation on the filter or something.

All in all it's an enjoyable song to me! Congrats!

Thank you for your honest feedback! Glad to hear you think it's enjoyable :)

For the bass part you are probably right, I'm still producing on a Teufel 2.1 System :D It's astonishingly neutral, even compared to more expensive studio monitors, but still monitors are of course the better choice when producing music ;)

The chords part is something that I already realized, too. I like the sound, but without variation it just gets boring and repetitive after a while. I'll try to focus more on melody in my next track.

Anyways, thanks again for your feedback!
