I'm trying to find a Fairlight CMI Kontakt library but i only found this one :

    http://fabel2112.synthpop.com/#fairlight_library

Sadly, this is the Fairlight CMI II and it doesnt contain the sound that i'm looking for .

The thing is, i'm a huge fan of those Late 70's early 80"s organ composer like Glass and such.

But what i'm trying to find right now isthe synthesizer that Haim Saban used to compose the music for ''les mysterieuse cité d'or'' and ''Inspecteur Gadget"" in 1982-84

I attached 2 extract of what is Fairlight sounded like:

Anyone know where i can find a Fairlight CMI Kontakt library or at least a close emulation in VST

    Thanks a lot guys

    @ Martel80,

Not sure that you'll find the exact desired Sounds that you're looking for within the following 'Kontakt' Library, mainly because it's a personal creation, but have you already tried the Version done by 'Øon3' : 'Øon3 Fairlight CMI IIx KONTAKT' ?

This Library contains 3 'Fairlight Sets' (1 to 3, in fact these are '.nkb' : Kontakt Banks) as this depicted above ('Fairlight Set 1'), plus 17 'Single Sets' ('001-Set' to '017-Set', these are '.nki' : Kontakt Instruments).

    All right

    @Studio 555

The sample seems like a nice effort to recreate the sound of the Fairlight but i think he didnt nailed it.

Its nota total failure but it doesnt sound close enough to me or what im looking for.

Thank you for bringing this to my attention anyway.

    I really appreciate.

    hey, Martel80,

this topic contains one program, called Audio-Term, mentioned (just scroll down) by user Baxter, which might also serve you with some degree of helpfulness...

all the best for all of us, including all the best sounding fairlight cmi iix waveforms (even if most other processes might be sorely missing)...

    WAOOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWW !!!!!!

    I'm speechless !!

I just wanted a library .....but this thing look like the badest VST Monster i've ever seen in my life.

    It's even better !!!

Now, not only can i have access to all the Fairlight sound but i can also create my own sound in a perfect replica of a 50 000 $ 1983 Fairlight software.

If you were here, i would kiss you a million time even if you would not want me to !!

THANK YOU SO MUCH NADIR !!!!!!!

    hey, Martel80,

because the one (and only person) who found the program was Baxter, me did not want to post the direct link (one may even go to the topic for pressing the thank you button at Baxter's post too, causing certainly one or two grins there)...

glad you also find it useful, quite possibly, at these times, there is no better thing as Audio-Term for rebuilding lost or unusable libraries (missing that light pen so much )... *yes*

all the best, as above, so below...

    hey, Martel80,

the matrixsynths site contains couple of videos about the possible usages of the program. *yes*

the author of the program is Mathias Gurk (if, when, the name is included in searches, one might get more results), Transwave-Term was the earlier program name. *yes*

there is even one kvr topic discussing the program (do search the site for possibly more). *yes*

the spongiformificated tissue mass in me head might play its games, but seems to recall finding the original fairlight sounds (disk images? converted disk images?) downloadable (worth one search). *yes*

the sounds (exported) from the Kontakt Library might be of some use with the program (that is why it became mentioned here). *yes*

the wavetable files generated, modified, processed, with the program can be used in most wavetable based software instruments (the download contains one small pdf file, mentioning those). *yes*

there was (possibly still is) one program done by 112 db, called morgana, emulating the behaviour of old(er) samplers, perhaps worth to try it with the original samples. *yes*

all of the original fairlight documentation is downloadable (do one search) in nine pdf files (somewhat more than fifty five megabytes), containing data for researching possible processing chains for modelling ideas (never the same, but even so). *yes*

hope some of these helps, all the best...

Someone uploaded 3 links with Fairlight and Synclavier samples recently.
I was away on x-mas vacation and could not download. I saved the links for
when I got home, but theyre already dead.... :-(
    Could someone please share again?
    That would be fantastic.
    Thanks.

there's an oldie Hollow Sun Vintage Samplers, and UVI Darklight as well, but the one I'm looking forward to is Aly James Lab Samplight. not samples, though. physical modeling. still in the making, but it has to come out this year at some point.
